Much better than the plastic ones.

Works better than steel fittings
These are decent quality. Purchased because the steel one that came with my manometer was too big. Also steel chews up aluminum and brass threads. So you generally want to stick with brass for test fittings like these. Worked well, I would recommend.

Nice Hose Barb, Some Kind of "Brass"
I am using these barbs on a sprayer boom. They are working OK at 30 PSI pressure. I am using non-corrosive herbicide, (compatible with brass). I have used polypropylene barbs, (which do not corrode) but the sunlight degrades them. I would have given these fittings a better rating, but the hose clamps that were supplied with them are junk. The first two I tried jammed, and would not tighten, so I tossed them in the trash, and used some others I had purchased years ago. Some Asian parts are good, some barely usable, and some are total junk. Unfortunately Amazon seems to be a preferred outlet for poorly made parts. However, if Amazon sold it, your investment is protected. The downside of that is, Amazon is trending toward more direct selling. Considering how hard it is to find anything locally these days, I am happy to have these hose barbs. Now, if I could get two business day "order placement, to receipt of the items" (as I formerly did from Amazon) all would be wonderful once more.
