Update: okay this thing is great! Don’t let your hair get too long and you’re gonna be really surprised! It’s smooth, it’s quick, and I have yet to have any irritation. The first review I posted was with my hair too long (it doesn’t do the best with long hair) but everyday, or every other day growth, this thing takes care of business…the battery life is great too, it doesn’t need to be charged all that often. I’ve used it 4 times now without recharging. I shave with shaving cream, that’s the best way for me…smooth! Also, like in my first review…how to clean it….very simple once you learn how to do it! I can’t go back to my old way of shaving…this is the new standard. It’s not bad…but it’s not great! It struggles to get the hair on the said of the head near the ears…you can see that in the photo. Also…I went ahead and used the device to shave half of my head and then wanted to see how much hair my single blade razor could pick up behind it. You can see that in the sink photo…it’s a quite a bit of hair that my razor was able to pick up. 1. My Hair was a little long when I used this shaver, so that might have some impact on it. 2. I did the second half of my head wet with shaving cream, maybe a little better than the first side that I shaved dry (but still the side of the head had to be touched up with my original single blade razor) 3. I felt some slight irritation on the back of my head on the dry side…which is strange because it doesn’t cut near as close as the razor. 4. Cleaning…that’ll take some getting use to. The blade cases open so you can rinse it off…but it’s never fully clean and how do you dry it? 5. It’s definitely not a one pass type cut…you will be circulating over the same spot a few times…that makes me nervous because it may cause irritation or bumps. Final: it’s not bad, but it’s not great. If I have to use my razor to go back over what I just cut…what’s the point right? If the cleaning is more strenuous than my razor what’s the point?…it’s a bit of a headache but I will need to see how this does when the hair is just slightly long and not as long as It was when I did this first trial.

Works as advertised. When I purchased this, it was 1/3 of the price of the entry level shavers offered by some more well known brands. I was skeptical but was willing to take a chance. For the most part, it has lived up and exceeded my expectations. My favorite part is that my hairs don't get all over the place when using this shaver. They all get sucked into the blades leaving no cleanup on the counter! A couple of disclaimers and tips. 1) I shave my head daily. If I skip a day, it takes much longer to get a cut that doesn't even feel that smooth. To avoid any headaches, I have learned to just add this to my morning routine. 2 minutes every morning is not that much to ask for a constant smooth shave. Your hair may grow slower than mine. This is just what I have found works best. 2) I clean the blades daily. I feel this helps me get a quality shave the next day. After I shave my head every morning, I will disconnect the blades from the base. I will use the high water pressure in the shower to quickly clean any loose hairs out of the blades. I then let the blades air dry, and it will be good to go by the next morning. 3) I have not tried wet shaving. I am skeptical of using this device in the shower or after a shower. It seems to have worked perfectly with a dry head, so I have not seen any need to change my routine.

I keep it in my car for those days I run out of time to use a traditional razor at home - shave while I commute. I use it about 3x per week; 5 minutes per shave. Pros: Comfort Convenience Attachments (nasal trimmer, edger) Price Cons: Clumsy to clean Battery lasted 2 years (I would expect longer. It's inexpensive to replace, but I would rather have more longevity)

I'm an African American man and I've been shaving my balding head for many years. With the many methods ive tried, I've suffered burns from depilatories, razorbumps & nicks/cuts from razors. For the last several years I've pretty much settled on using razors and shaving cream. It takes time to get a close shave and it's hard to do so without cutting myself. I eventually grew tired of doing it all the time. Looking for a more convenient and safer method, I decided to give this product a try. I was hopeful but didn't expect too much. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Since it was waterproof, i decided to just lather up with my favorite shaving gel and cut it on fresh out the box. Man, it felt really good on my scalp. No discomfort, no cutting or nicking, no worries of injury. I went over my scalp with easy circular motions without having to press hard. I cut it off after a few moments wiped away the shaving cream. I was surprised at how good and smooth my head felt. Now it isnt quite as close as a razor but it looks like it and still feels really smooth. No jagged edged hair follicles and no blood from cutting too close. As far as im concerned, it's perfect. :) Also the trimmer attachment and nose trimmer work pretty well. Those are not why i bought this product though. Im just very happy it does what it was made for. I definitely recommend this product!

So I have actually ordered two of these. once as a gift for our roommate who loved it. I can tell it’s easier for him to keep up with his hair now vs before. He’s black with super course hair but he likes keeping it bald, before he was just using clippers and would ask me to help clean up any spots he missed. After getting him this trimmer set, he didn’t need my help anymore. Okay so I ordered one for my husband as well, however it took him like 6 months to actually open and use it. Once we did we discovered the shaving bit was actually used before and broken. It even had dried shaving cream in it. Everything else was still in the shrink wrap wrapping. After that long I didn’t feel like going through the hassle of returning it. We just threw away the broken piece and kept what wasn’t clearly used by someone else. Which is mostly just the blades. I did clean the main hand held motor bit and everything else before we used it. I can’t justify throwing away something that works just fine because of a missing piece. We have hair cut nights now every couple weeks where I use it to trim my husband and our 4 year old son’s hair. Both have fine straight hair and it works fine for them too. In conclusion, check it when you get it. It’s kind of gross getting something used after waiting so long. I put a lot of the blame on us not doing that sooner. But also on the seller for sending something opened and used in the first place. The product over all is good on by fine and course hair and it Has a great battery life.

What can I say, it works quite well. Doesn't give a perfect smooth shave when dry but does quite a bit better with shave cream or something to smooth its glide out and stand the hairs up. The image is from one use after doing my whole head once with VERY fine stubble. Be warned it does struggle with too much stubble, you have to shave daily to get this to work well and the motor is not very powerful. It is quite Quiet though, can barely hear it. If you have heavy stubble you might need to clean it several times to keep it from bogging down. I had to go over my head several times with this to get it smooth since I have two issues: 1. I have very fine hair, and 2. It fills up pretty quickly with hair and can bog down the heads. It comes with other attachments and the battery life is good as long as you charge it for 2 hours out of the box. the one I got does not have a digital display like the instructions indicate but it does have a two color LED on it. However the LED goes Green to indicate it is done too soon. I'd suggest ignoring it and stick to a timer if you get this one too. Otherwise I consider this a good buy for the price.
