Vet Warns against grain FREE but dog likes if i mix it in
Natural Balance Limited Ingredient formula has been a game-changer for my dog's allergies, with its grain-free, single-protein recipes like duck and potato delivering shiny coat and itch-free skin. Digestion improved dramatically—no more scratching or tummy troubles—thanks to high-quality, limited ingredients that avoid common irritants. My pup devours it dry or mixed with wet food, and switching flavors keeps meals exciting without upset. As someone who champions store brands for efficacy and affordability, this premium yet accessible option earns top marks for nutrition and palatability in adult dogs.

FedEx is horrible
Great product, but I despise FedEx as a carrier. They left it out by my mailbox, where my dogs tore it open and the box got soggy in the rain.

A lifelong favorite for my dog
I have been feeding my dog Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish since he was a puppy, and it has been a consistent winner for almost 13 years now. Early on, we discovered he had a poultry allergy, which made finding a food he would actually eat a real challenge. This formula was a lifesaver. Not only did he love the taste, but it also agreed with his sensitive stomach. When he was a puppy, we started with the easy-to-eat bites (Natural Balance makes a puppy version of this), which made transitioning to the adult version of this food simple. As he grew, we moved him to the adult kibble, and he has continued to enjoy it without any issues. Over the years, I’ve noticed he maintains healthy energy levels, a shiny coat, and good digestion, all signs that this food really works for him. It’s also convenient because it’s easy to store, measure, and feed, making mealtime simple. I’ve tried other brands, but nothing compares to how reliably he enjoys this food and how well it suits his needs. For any dog with sensitivities or just a picky eater, this is a fantastic option. Five stars without a doubt. It has been a staple in our household for over a decade and we couldn’t be happier with it.

works for my Hypo- allergenic mutt
Wifes dog is allergic to food containing chicken products. Thins is a much cheaper substitute that the Hill's prescription diet we were buying.

Good for a dog w/ allergies
My dog sort of liked this. She eats the vegetarian flavor since she’s allergic to most meats. She eats this better if it’s mixed with the vegetarian flavor. Price is outrageous for a 22-24 pound bag of dog food.

This has been a life saver!!
I just want to say how amazed I am with this dog food in just the few days that I have had it. I’m not one to usually write a review but my 7 month French bulldog puppy has struggled with bloody diarrhea for MONTHS ever since I got him where I have had to hose his butt off every time he pooped because it was everywhere. With him being a french bulldog I assumed he would be bulking at this age but he stays lean. I think anything he eats is just running through him though he has always had a strong appetite and energy so for a while I thought he was just burning everything off. I’ve gone through multiple vet visits and medication and the amount of money I have spent to find a solution is insane. They thought it was parasites but the medications never seemed to improve his symptoms. I started doing some late night reading on his symptoms and thought I would try a hydrolyzed diet like recommended to see if it would help before setting another vet appt and getting a prescription diet for him and probably more tests. I was looking at the reviews and they all seemed positive yet I was worried without me seeing a similar situation to mine that it might not work. Once I received the dog food, within 24 hours his butt seemed less messy afterwards and within two days I didn’t have to clean his butt off at all! His stools have been solid and I don’t see anymore irritation bleeding! I went from feeling completely hopeless to being so grateful I found this solution without breaking the bank. I’m hoping now he will start putting the weight on he needs and I will probably update my review then😊 (picture is before starting new diet. I plan on doing a comparison once he starts filling out)

Highly recommend
I have a pit we did not get as a puppy I've had her for over 2 years now she's had really bad skin issues digging scratching I thought it was anxiety she was placed on anxiety medicine that didn't work she can't use regular shampoos so we switched her over to one for dandruff professional product not store-bought but what really seemed to stop her head shaking and ear problem she would shake her head 100 times a day we treated her for ear mites we treated her for yeast and nothing helped until I switched to this brand dog food I tried Jinx first it helped a little bit but nothing like Natural Balance I would highly recommend if you have a dog would constant ear shaking and allergies definitely switch it's worth the price

Sweet potato and venison made my dog ill
The sweet potato and venison gave my dog so many problems, including uncontrollable bowel movements and diarrhea. Poor thing was so uncomfortable he had to be taken outside every hour. I stopped mixing in this food on day four and he was much better the next day. Two weeks after, I tried testing it again and mixed in 10% of this food and 90% of his regular food and the same thing happened again… My dog is six years old and has never reacted to any food, dry or other wise, or any of the ingredients listed in this way. I suspect something is really wrong with my batch. It’s a shame because now I am out of $85 and stuck with 22lbs of food that I can’t give my dog or give away.
