General Foods Cappaccino Topping (1lb Bags, Pack of 6)

This is the same product that I used to buy from the grocery store in little 9+ ounce cans. It makes a delicious latte with hot water. The price is certainly less than the grocery store charged, and the quality is excellent. I'm on my second two pound pouch now, and the flavor is fantastic. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes tea and spices. The spicing is light and not overpowering. There is a slightly chalky taste at the end of the cup, I'm not sure why. It leaves a white residue in the cup sometimes, which can be alleviated by swirling the cup when drinking the last few sips. It is also good when cooled and poured over ice. A perfect drink at the end of a long winter's day.

I used to buy tins of this all the time. I wish they still sold it like that. This was always my favorite flavor. After much waiting and always searching the stores I got online to track this down. I found it here but in large vending machine quantity. That is the reason it lost one star. I still have several big bags of this in my closet. Guess I'm good to go for a while! I have found to help keep this fresh I use an old plastic Nestle Quik container. One bag fills it right up.This lost the second star for the product itself. First I find this much weaker than it used to be in the tins. I have to add more to each cup to get the right flavor. Second this is Very chalky and Very Very powdery. I can taste the powder in it which before I could not. I even tend to have a powdery residue at the bottom of my cup as well. This may be because this was for a machine or something so it has a slightly different consistency. Although about the time this was leaving the shelves of stores I noticed a change in several of the other flavors. All of which were changing slightly in ways like that. That was also when they started making some of their lattes foam up. So I don't know if this changed during that time as well.Simply, this fills the void that was left since I no longer find it on the shelves. Its not a perfect match to what I fell in love with but it is definitely still tasty. I would order it again to have it and probably will whenever the day comes when I run out again.

For many years I was able to find the "Sugar Free" Chai Tea Latte in the little tin cans in the stores..Little by little I saw this product on fewer shelves! Then one day they were all gone! I called the 800 number but all they told me was they stopped making it..So, I went on Amazon and was able to order the discontinued product until they ran out...I decided to try the 32-ounce package and was "hooked"! The only thing I don't care for are the calories in one cup but I use it every morning and would really miss my cup of Chai Tea Latte! Something about this tea keeps me ordering and as long as Amazon sells it, I'll keep ordering!

I think this is the best chai mix ever. I used to buy this in the tins in the store but it was so expensive and only made a few glasses. Now I can have it anytime I want. I make it hot usually with boiling water, a little sugar and half n half. (About 3Tbsp of the mix in 12-16oz) My sons also like it made as "iced" chai. It's a great product, I was surprised when I saw all the negative reviews! Don't let it deter you from ordering if you want a great chai mix...

I love General Foods International Chai Tea Latte and drink a lot of it. It warms me up on cold winter days. You can even put ice cubes in it and drink it as a cold drink in the summer. Buying Chai Tea at the grocery store gets very expensive the way I drink it. Buying Chai Tea in bulk helps me save money. If I did not buy my Chai Tea from Amazon.com, I probably would have stopped drinking it as much or not at all. Thanks Amazon.dot come for stocking ths wonderful product. General Foods International Chai Tea Latte, 32-Ounce Packages (Pack of 6)

I have an empty metal tin of GF Chai Tea from buying it in store in the past and compared the ingredients. Appears there is now nonfat milk and whey in the mix in addition to the nondairy creamer and more calories. Used to be 70 per serving and now 160 per serving. The main issue for me is the taste. The spices are muted, and the flavor is very different and I DO NOT like it. I have been purchasing this for 2 years through the subscribe and save feature, and this order is the different formula. Could not return it as it is a food item, but did receive partial refund. I am so disappointed. Interestingly, what does not make sense is the tin with 9.7 ounces shows there are 18 servings at 1-1/3 tablespoons per 8 ounce serving, and the picture on Amazon shows the 32-ounce bag has 24 servings at 1/4 cup per 8 ounce serving. Last time I checked, 1-1/3 tablespoons does not equal 1/4 cup. Something is wrong here.

Finally I found the General Foods International Chai Tea Latte I have been buying at walmart. They quit selling it, and all I could find was the General Foods International Chai Tea Latte in the yellow can at Amazon. It may have looked the same but was not even close! These bags are exactly what I was getting before, just in bags. I keep mine in a zip lock baggy to keep it fresher longer, not that its going to last that long. I will never buy those other cans again! I did find the real General Foods International Chai Tea Latte in the white cans on Amazon, but the person selling it wants over $7 a can! Thats just wrong. The bags are a way better value and just what I have been looking for. I don't know why the stores quit selling it, but thank goodness for Amazon!!!
