These work great for extra security when walking a reactive, anxious dog. I usually clip this to my dog's harness then to her leash and have her leash also attached to a slip collar. We've been using this for over a year with no issues and just got a second for our new dog since the other one held up so well.

This is a must when you walk your dog. It attaches to their collar and a second collar or harness.

What a wonderful item to further protect my dog from getting loose on a walk. I have a 100lb very young dog. And while mostly trained sometimes he wants to pull when he sees really small dogs and deer. I have him on a gentle lead and love that I can clip this onto the base of the leash and his regular collar as well. If he slips the gentle lead I can still keep him from taking off. My only issue with this is I had him out front on a 30ft lead and the other end on a post. He isn't used to being on a lead in our yard so he decided to get the "zoomies" and it happend so fast. He hit the end of that lead and the plastic adjustment part snapped. But 100lb of pup hitting the end of that lead and hard! I can see how that small plastic piece would not hold up. Well I like the product still for the use of our daily walks. So I bought another. I just wish that small part would be made of some kind of metal. But all in all a great product.

Nice product. Wish I would have found this product sooner. My (4 year old) dog is an escape artist. He walks up the back of the seat and squirms out of his harness. This product helped. He got stuck with his head still outside of the harness. I was going to leave him there, but we were on an hour long drive. So I got a pet gate instead. Repurchase - yes for a new (still trainable puppy).

My dogs prong collar sometimes would come unhooked while walking. Allowing her to run off. Purchased this and it is a life saver. Prong collar still does it sometimes but using this. Now when it does I still have her on leash since it is connected to the leash to her collar. No more worring about her getting loose. Easy to use. Very effective. Great price.

I gave 3 stars as I attempted to use this on my baby german shepard. It lasted awhile and I. Had to replace it. Its better for small dogs.

I've been having a lot of troubling finding a harness that properly fits my yorkie; the one we have is a bit too loose and while she hasn't escaped it, to have this backup connection to her collar makes me much less anxious on walks while I continue to search for her perfect harness. Even when I find it I'm glad to keep using this. The clasps and fabric are both sturdy, and it's unobtrusive.
