Streamlight flashlights are pricey and I will pay that price everytime I need a new light! Streamlight makes THE very best flashlights for tough environments and temperate ones! My Stinger DSLed goes with me eveywhere. I use it at work in a rough gactory environment everyday and it DOES NOT FAIL! The led is BRIGHT! The strobe function seems useless to some, I'm sure, but makes an excellent signaling device and attention getter in a high noise level setting like mine. The aluminum body is incredibly durable and has survived many drops to a concrete floor with no problems. The two switches might seem redundant but the tactical tailcap switch is very handy in a multitude of tactile situations that don't always allow for the head switch to be actuated. The piggyback charger works FAST and the extra battery provides even MORE flexibility in terms of run time. If you are judicious in how you use one of these lights you can get a couple, three days of usage on a single charge, as I do. But, if you have to turn it on and leave it on for lengthy periods of time, the battery on the piggyback charger is there at your disposal! I actually have a xenon stinger that I've had for over ten years and BOTH batteries STILL hold a fantastic charge and the light works flawlessly! This was my work light for years til I upgraded to the LED but continues to serve me and my family as I have mounted it beside the light switch in my bedroom. Eveyone knows EXACTLY where to go for a flashlight that WORKS for ANY situation! I can't say enough about Streamlight flashlights...they just work!

Solid build nice and bright love the extra battery and dual charger

This is our third purchase of a Streamlight product. Our 1st flashlight was purchased about 7 years ago. My husband used this flashlight so much we had to purchase 2 extra batteries about 2 years ago. With so much usage at home and at his work our battery charger finally stopped charging last week. He tried working without his flashlight for just a day while I looked at buying a new charger. Which turned out to be not a great day at work. Everyone was use to him having his flashlight because of the brightness. When working in confined places his light was always needed. When we got home I looked into the best options and decided that we were better off buying another flashlight with a charger and batteries. This way I would have one to use too. The flashlight is sturdy, shine bright, always dependable and lite weight so if I need to hold it for a long time while helping my husband I can without hurting my arm. Now, I have one at my fingertips and am always willing and able to help if my husband needs me to help. I hate to say this but, I really like the Dual Switch feature on the new flash light and want a new one like his. I really like knowing that we now have a flashlight we can depend on and that we are not throwing away a fortune on batteries. Living in the country our flashlight has helped so we do not step on snakes that might cross our path, finding our black lab when she decides to hide in the back of the pasture when she does not want to come in when I call her or seeing her chase a heard of deer in our yard. My 3 year old grandson uses the flashlight when he comes over to visit and due to the durability we have had no problem letting him use the flashlight to teach him the safety of shining it on the ground to see what is ahead of you, PawPaw and BB are not afraid the it will break. Your Streamlight Flashlight does not only provide a service to help our men and women that protect us everyday but, it also provides a peace of mind to us that we were able to purchase a high quality flashlight for our family.

We only but Streamlights and have had them for years. We went with a higher lumen this time. Wow, it is very nice and bright. So easy to operate and simple. Stays in the charger, so we always have it available. The best of the best!

Streamlight Stinger, easily the best flashlight available. Last one lasted more than ten years before the battery destroyed it. My fault for not buying a new one. This for a replacement is just as good, you can't say that much about anything anymore. If you need a real flashlight that's tough as nails, last forever and simple to use, THIS IS IT.

This light is solid for the money. I also have several surefire lights including the lawman r1. This streamlight stinger I really admire. It's quality built. It is 400 lumens lower than my lawman but it's not that noticeable of a difference. This light is blindingly bright. Love the tail switch and that all you do is hold it down to cycle between power levels. The one thing this light has over the lawman r1 is the readily available aftermarket parts available. For example, try to purchase an aftermarket oem battery for the lawman; its non existent. Without their proprietary battery you will only get 750 lumens from the r1. I have read nothing but raving reviews about the streamlight stinger family and I can see why. I have read a couple of negative reviews about a few stingers that failed but those are few and far between. I had to send in my lawman r1 for an internal electronics issue. Surefire sent me a new light but I'm just pointing out that any piece of electronics will have a certain percentage of units that fail. You will not regret purchasing this light. I Did purchase the piggy back model that came with an ac and dc charging cable set up. The only complaint is the charge time of 9 hours to fully charge a battery. Also the charger red light has no way of telling you that the battery is fully charged( will not blink -unless charging lithium ion battery - and does not turn color.) It comes with a spare battery already in the piggy back so you get 2 batteries already included so for the average citizen it should fulfill your needs. Also purchased a 2hour fast charger and one more nimh battery that should arrive this coming week. Will keep the fast charger in the car with the supplied dc cig lighter cable. Great setup for anyone in LE or security or just the average citizen looking for a great rechargeable flashlight setup. Pros Just the right size. Not too big or small. This flashlight blows my mind. It's very bright, shines very far and hasn't died yet despite being in my possession. I tend to be hard on my items. Here's my take on the flashlight after owning it for about 2 months. Battery - I charged the battery about 2 months ago. Now I haven't used it much but its not dead either. I've probably used 35 minutes total over the past month. The charge time didn't bother me and I honestly doubt ill ever need to use the 2nd battery. Brightness - Its more than I need. I snapped a pic of me at a baseball field nearby in the daytime. The next pic shows me in about the same spot at night time. Then in the final picture you can see that office trailer way out there. I'd say its at least 100 yards away. Currently there's a ton of California smoke in the air so this pic doesn't do it justice. I can honestly see that trailer clear as day. Features - At first I didn't think the double button thing was a big deal, but now its really grown on me. I like having that car charger despite not having used it yet. Its simple to change the brightness setting. Just hold the button down and stop at any of the 3 brightness levels. Do a quick double click and you get the strobe effect. Durability - I have no use for a flashlight in my profession so all use is during camping or goofing off at night. Usually flashlights help prevent tripping in the dark. That's not the case on camping trips after 10 beers. It helps, but it's no guarantee. This happened once on concrete and once on some dirt hill I climbed and came tumbling down. It's still alive and well and looks better than my skin did. I've also dropped it on the ground while getting out of my car, a few times it tipped off the table, and once it fell behind my bed onto hard floor. What's not to like - Now this part is subjective, but I think its a bit big. Maybe thats by design since I don't think I'm the usual target customer, but I can't really fit this in many pockets except maybe a coat or two. If its not turned on in my hand I usually have it in a backpack. Price? Ya its high but given my experience I think its justified. I mean this thing survives me and that means something. Lastly I sorta wish I bought a different model that had more of a beam instead of the flood this one has. That's simply because I think its neat. Finally - Cheers to Streamlight! Awesome product! It was recommended by my electrician brother enlaw and now me too. Also my dad is jealous.

This flashlight has been well worth the investment. The beam is one of the most intense I have ever seen. The three levels of intensity combined with the strobe make it very versatile and applicable for many situations. Shining it into the sky at night resembles a spotlight and can light up buildings across the street. I carry this flashlight every shift in my line of work. I purchased my light in 2017. Today in 2022 after 5 years, I had the lens scratched up and rubber button tear slightly. Sent it into an authorized repair shop and no questions asked they put in a brand new lens and gave me a brand new button for when my button fully tears. It really is a lifetime warranty. Excelente linterna, para uso industrial, seguridad y emergencias, es super potente y lo mejor que la adquirí a un precio muy bajo del promedio... El único detalle es que se supone cuenta con certificación de que es resistente a salpicaduras y está al estar expuesta a una brisa muy ligera le entró agua en el lente como se puede observar en la imagen... aún así pienso que fue una buena adquisición ya que lleva ya varios meses de uso diario y no ha dado problema o ha tenido falla... Muy recomendable la marca... Ahora entiendo por qué es la favorita de muchos guardianes del orden y personal del servicio de emergencias
