Number one the magnets are strong enough to secure to baseboard vent.Number two for baseboard vents that are under a window and curtains the deflector directs the air flow out into the room instead of going up into the curtains. makes things cooler in the room since cool air is not trapped between the curtain and the window.

I actually ordered this to use on our window AC unit since we wanted a simpler cleaner look and the air deflected in our narrow home. Works perfect.

I bought this to use on the wall-mounted air conditioning unit in my office because the vents aren't adjustable. It has worked very well for redirecting the airflow away from my desk, making the office much more comfortable.The magnetic attachment is strong, and installation took just a minute. The clear plastic also blends in nicely without being too noticeable.The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that it can't be extended to its full length. When I tried to fully extend it, the two sections tended to separate. Keeping it slightly shorter solved the problem, but I wish the connection between the pieces was a little more secure.Overall, it's an effective solution for directing airflow, and I'm glad I purchased it.

Wow. I saw reviews of people saying this arrived broken, or that it broke easily... let me tell you.Mine arrived in perfect condition. I was going to use it to redirect the air from my window air conditioner away from my couch, as it points directly to my favorite seat on the couch and it gets way too cold.The magnets on the side might as well not even be an option because they have 0 strength. The only way the magnets would do anything at all is if you have this laying on the floor, FLAT. I think the magnets were installed just to keep this thing from moving left and right, but that's it. If you plan on mounting this on any other surface thats not flat on the floor, like wall or ceiling vents, you might as well order velcro tape or double sided sticky tape or something because this wont hold its own weight. In its defense, this technically was designed to lay flat on the floor but seriously they couldn't have found a weaker magnet for this...ANYWAY, I used Velcro trape to secure it to my Midea U Shape Window AC. It wasn't holding very well and was wanting to fall off, so I went to remove it to re secure the velcro, and I dropped it... It fell LITERALLY about a 1 foot, onto a CARPET FLOOR, and get this, IT BROKE!I am beyond shocked!!!! No wonder these were arriving broken etc! I will say it worked great for what I was using it for but now will need to re order. The description above is a mess. It quotes different lengths, different versions of potential uses. It's a list of contradictory points.The product I actually received is built for baseboard registers -- not wall, floor, or ceiling registers despite the promises above. The magnets are sandwiched between plastic strips that allow them to work only on the sides. There are little nubbins (I hope you can see this in the photo attached) that stop the sides from lying flush against a wall, floor or ceiling.I had a hard time finding anything else this size, so I will use this for the ceiling register heat and cooling drafts I need to deflect, but I will use brackets made to attach mirrors to walls or doors to install this. (Thanks to another Amazon reviewer for this idea!)The magnets are cumbersome dead weight to work around for a wall or ceiling installation using brackets and screws. As another reviewer said, the shield won't even stand up on a floor register -- it falls over. It's meant for baseboard registers -- 1940s-50s style upright at floor level, but not in the floor. The magnets are pretty big and clunky for the tiny strips of their sides exposed. I don't have a baseboard register handy to test how they might or might not hold.

I read that there were several negative comments about this product. I received my promptly and in excellent shape. It fit perfectly. Just what I needed. Very happy.

Item arrived in tact and does the job it’s meant to do. My house has uncommonly large 18” baseboard vents and this was one of the few options available on Amazon. For some reason 95% of the ones on Amazon only go to ~15”.Again, mine arrived unbroken and are perfect for my application.

Ait conditioner in window by my head. This is a DIY thought to deflect air. All I can say is PERFECT. Just PERFECT

Arrived broken and magnets not strong enough to hold it in place, due to cost i threw it in yhe bin.

This item extending to 25" is difficult to come by so was happy to see FROST KING had the size I needed at a good price. Item arrived in good condition and plastic is sturdier than those I've bought in the past from different brands at higher cost. I've been using their plastic window kits for years and been very satisfied.
