Is it more absorbent after it is washed? I did an experiment with my new pad and the bit of water I poured on it beaded up and ran right off it.

We use these daily for my mother who is incontinent and wheelchair bound. They absolutely protect the foam pad that she sits on with no leakage. We sometimes use a disposable pad to minimize washings, but not because the pad itself soaks through. We actually bought more because they work so well, so we have them on several chairs where she sits. Very affordable and seem to be really holding up with multiple washings. Hope this helps!
