24 Hour Memorial Candle in Tins (12)

After my husband transitioned into another dimension, I wanted to burn candles for him. I was delighted to find out about these memorial candles even though I am not Jewish by birth. I ordered them, and I was able to light my candle one day and know that it would burn until at least the same time the next day (if I left the candle burning after lighting the next candle, I discovered that it would burn another two or three hours). So I was able to burn candles for 40 days--my preference rather than any established time frame--without worrying that they would go out before I had a chance to continue the flame in another candle. I would still have them burning after two months, but his spirit had other things to do beyond the candle and I needed to let go.

I use a lot of Yartzeit candles in the year as I not only have family commitments but also light for Yom HaShoah and light 5 for Yom Kippur finding great Yartzeit candles at this price and with this quality is wonderful I lit one for Yom Ha Shoah this year and was absolutely pleased with the time it burned as well as the flame itself I would definitely recommend these candles and intend to purchase them again in the future

My mom who is 80 years old wanted 2-12 packs of the “glass” type memorial candles. After missing a local sale I figured Amazon would be a great source. I told her they were in a metal type holder and she was very reluctant to use them. I told her about the reviews and showed her some of the topics as to the use of them. I just spoke with her and she is very satisfied with them and said they last a solid 24 hours. It’s hard to get an older wise person to change their way of doing things but thanks to great reviews and support she is quite happy.

These are in good tins, safe to leave burning on a try or otherwise candle-safe surface. One of the 6 I lit for the holiday remembrance lasted only 23 hours but all others exactly 24. Nice product.

Each candle comes in a heavy duty metal tin and in my experience they did burn for a full 24 hours. Reviews for other brands of candles indicated sub 24 hour burn time and the length of the burn time was important in my purchase decision. The reason I took stars away from this product is that the box I received the candles in was a MESS. Many of the tins arrived dented and even the candles were "damaged" (not to the extent to impact performance). The packaging of these candles definitely should be improved. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning up shards of wax from my counter top and floor after opening the box, annoying. 5 star for these if the mess doesn't bother you.

Depending on where you live in the USA, yahrtzeit candles can be hard or even impossible to find. Stock up with this inexpensive brand and you will never have to search for them locally. These 24-hour memorial candles come in an attractive blue tin that is labeled in Hebrew.

I previously ordered these candles and they functioned as you would expect. But this shipment cannot be recommended. Where previous candles burned bright and full, the candles in the recent shipment burned down to a tiny flicker early on. After 24 hours most of the wax compound remained in the candle around a hole where the merest flame burned low and out. Perhaps the wax composition has changed. These candles are all duds.

I love these. They are lighter than others as there is no glass. They burned the way they should. Since I light a lot of candles each year, I look for weight and how they store in my cabinets. I'll be ordering many more of these.
