how large of a room will this cover

I would not recommend for a big party room. Also, in relation to the previous answer, please do not aim up at trees or into the sky. Even though it looks cool, you can't prevent the laser from going past the trees. As a pilot these lasers cause issues with our night sight can lead to a crash. Even low power lasers can travel quite a distance. Also per the FAA it is illegal to shine lasers into the sky.

Does this have a laser filter for eye safety?

Dear, ours is a laser with safety certification. Please use it with confidence. But I don't recommend you to shoot directly in the eyes, it will cause you discomfort

I am only getting solid red and very blur green, is that normal? Or any setting I need to change. Even my remote is not working

That’s not normal. Lights should be laser sharp and you should see a pattern display.
