There are amazing but crazy expensive balsamic vinegars, and there are unpleasant but cheap ones. If the objective is to get one that's good enough to use on its own (eg as a dip for bread with good olive oil) without breaking the bank, then this is the ideal compromise. Absolutely delicious, but less than £20 a bottle. Is it perfect? No, but it is a perfect compromise.

Absolutely love the quality of this product and would recommend for it's rich and balanced flavour profile. However it's price has gone up 30% in less than 6 months! Really hard to justify such steep increases over a short period of time. Certainly not the excellent value it once was.

This vinegar is by far the best

I bought this product one week ago for £13, i cannot justify the £4 price rise within that time period, now at £17. It has a very nice taste and quite thick, I would buy again but not at this current price hike.

I am a recurring customer and recently they introduced the organic option for the same price. For some reason the non organic one got a lot more expensive.I thought that the end product would be generally the same given the same density, acidity and ripening process, but boy was I wrong. The organic does not compare at all to previous, and loses all of its distinctive rich flavours and is not nothing more than an average vinegar for a high price point. Taste wise it compares with balsamic vinegars sold at supermarkets for half the price. A complete disappointment.

Learnt about this from my daughter-in-law. I like the flavour and the fact that being more viscous it remains on the salad rather than flowing through to the plate or salad bowl. More expensive than my previous brand, but for the amount I use I can live with that.

Being somewhat of a food connoisseur who absolutely loves cooking, for me it’s all about the dishes I create I always insist on the freshest produce and finest ingredients and I’m always weary when substituting one ingredient for another, and boy on this occasion I’m happy I did ( This is a fraction of the price of my usual go to Organic balsamic Vinegar and just as good)For me it’s all about the balance of flavours and this Organic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena adds an instant depth of flavour (a sweet note) a richness that’s complimented many dishes I’ve made over the past couple of months, the likes of pasta dishes, stews, grilled fish & homemade beef burgers not forgetting a gentle drizzle over salads.I make homemade roasted beef stock, which which is night and day to the crap you buy from supermarkets. Using home made stock adds a depth and richness to cooking that both compliments and brings out the flavour of a dish (This Organic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena pretty much does the same thing)
