I bought this as a replacement for a steel series mic that quit working a few weeks after purchase. I've now had the replacement mic longer than I had the actual steel series mic and it's still working great. It seems to be of a better quality than the original steel series mic as well. Flexing it is easier and it also stays in place better. I'm happy with this replacement mic. I would 100% buy it again, but hopefully, I won't have to.

My Arctis 1 is a great cheap, wireless headset, but to my dismay the detachable microphone had failed. I thought I would need to get a new headset, but lo and behold Amazon sells replacement mic stems for it! It works fine. You just plug it in and it works. The quality of the sound seems about the same. The build quality seems slightly less than the original, though it's indistinguishable in operation. This comes with a foam windscreen which helps a ton with wind noise if you've got a fan running or something. I had to buy my own for the original mic that didn't come with one. For the price, this is fantastic and is a great buy if you're frugal and want to extend the life of your cheap headset. Note: If you have weird disconnecting issues with the Arctis 1 wireless headset on your PC, make sure the secret hidden switch on the back of the dongle is set to PC and not XBox, because I had horrible problems for like a whole year until that was set correctly. If that switch is set properly, it detects the dongle as a device and works exactly as expected.

Very good replacement mic for a fraction of the price for the actual on brand mic. Fits into headphones easily and have had no issues with voice quality, as told by my buddies online. Appreciated the two spare foam covers.

My son thought he needed a whole new set of headphones when the mic broke off (his fault, he slapped them down too hard) After we figured out that we could pull off the mic and replace it we found this product. It arrived quickly and was simple to connect. Perfect fit. It works perfectly and was such an inexpensive solution to our issue. Great value for the money! It has lasted through his usual bad habit of tossing the headphones down after gaming. lol So I’m happy.

I have no idea what these other people got but what I was shipped is not it. The mix constantly falls out of microphone plug on the headset, the boom is so flimsy it just falls down (and then falls out). Worst of all, it hasn't worked once. Garbage.

Not the best fit but wit some super glue... Flawless victory!!

Just purchased, so I can't speak on longevity but it is much louder than my original mic which had gone in the wash with a pair of jeans (oops). It also fits the arctis 1 headset perfect with a little notch to keep it in place and sound quality is passable given its a wireless mic
