Philips Ultinon Pro9000 LED Car Headlight Bulb (H4), set of 2

I e seen lots of LED headlamp bulbs on the road and often you can see that they’re on full beam permanently. THESE ARE A DIFFERENT MATTER!! Wow!!! Super sharp light beam with supe crisp cutoff lines. Fitted to my Land Rover Defender TD5 and they make driving at night an absolute pleasure!! Super bright and a really nice colour of light, not that rubbish piercing bright white light that means that you can’t see your headlamps at sun set. Very easy to install, just remember to follow the instructions. Just wish that they would pass British MOT!! It’s a shame as they’re so much safer that normal H4 bulbs and considerably cheaper that full LED 7” headlamps.

Great bulbs, much better than the previous halogen +150% ones I had used... found it a bit tricky at first as I could not get the H4 bulb retaining clip to close when bulbs in place.... then I found the bulbs are a bayonet fitting into the baseplate... allows the base plate to be clipped in place first, then simply slide in the bulb, twist & lock... connect the wire and hey presto. Probably in instructions I did not read. Only real hassle for me is that the back of bulb is so long the Hyundai plastic dust cover cannot go back in place, but that then probably helps with airflow for cooling. May have been a neat idea to have a breathable elasticated dust cover that could be put in place, but hey ho. Light output and clarity is ... well ... brilliant! Almost as good as my projector headlights on my other car. On Dip nice clear horizontal cutoff, with uptick at left. And High beam.... I can see at night!

These are expensive but worth every penny I’ve had cheaper bulbs but the light pattern isn’t good whereas these are perfect very good bright beam

The hotspot of this bulbs and wide beam is the ultimate on the h4 leds in the 2021 market. At 617 lux at 25 ft with a beam as wide as 15 ft from the vehicle this bulb does what it’s designed to do. Compared to others there is a lower luminous flux close to the vehicle so it has less of a close light up to the vehicle. Modern led assemblies have a much shorter throw then this bulb with a higher flux close to the vehicle. It’s not what this h4 bulb is designed to do, it’s going the distance! And at 18w with this hotspot and throw these Philips bulbs will easily do it compared to overdriven COB which are the closest in terms of luminous intensity sold in the market this year.

On the plus side, these bulbs are very straightforward to install. You just insert them and plug into the existing wiring connector. However, the light output is terrible. They are definitely not safe for use on the road as the light is far too weak. The beams are narrow and not very bright, similar to a low end bicycle light output when using dipped beam. Better on high beam, but much worse that standard halogen bulbs. Some other reviews suggest that they are difficult to install, which is confusing, because they are not, but that the light is good, which is also confusing because it is terrible. Maybe the ones I received were faulty.

A big shout out to Philips Automotive for another premiere product. No reason why these should not be made legal, the beam pattern is spot on. I managed to damage one of the H4 connector rings during installation (don't ask). I emailed Philips and received a replacement H4 connector ring, free of charge and shipped all the way from France. Now that's top customer service, thank you Philips!

I bought these as they’re supposed to be the best with a steep price tag to match. They’re not CANbus friendly with my 2015 MINI. I have multiple bulb warning messages whilst driving, also the lights flicker on start up and whilst driving too. I previously had OSRAM nightbreakers fitted, and honestly they’re almost as bright at a fraction of the cost. I will be returning these Phillips LED bulbs.

EN GENERAL ME GUSTA MUCHO PERO A MI NO ME SIRVEN POR CULPA DE QUE TENGO OTRAS DE PHILLIPS QUÉ TIENEN MÁS POTENCIA DE LUZ Y ESTAS TIENEN MUCHA MENOS , ESO SI LAS RECOMIENDO A TODOS LOS QUÉ QUIEREN PASAR DE HALOGENO A LED LO MISMO A LOS DE XENON A LED YA QUE CUMPLEN LAS NORMATIVA EUROPEA Y NO TIENEN PROBLEMA PARA PASAR LA ITV YA QUE ESTÁN DENTRO DE LOS PARÁMETROS DE LA NORMATIVA VIGENTE EN EUROPA PERO YA DIGO A MI PERSONALMENTE NO ME VALEN , A LO MEJOR CAMBIO DE IDEA PORQUE LA VERDAD ES QUÉ TIENEN UNA CALIDAD IMPRESIONANTE Y ESTÁN MUY BIEN DE PRECIO. ¡ UN SALUDO !

After many tries and thorough mountings we came to the conclusion that it messed up our lights so it blinded the meeting cars in one end. A little bit strange coming from Philips. At first i thought i'd done something wrong but we really checked and tried for a whole evening without getting it to work so i had to send them back. Would have enjoyed them if they were nice to the meeting cars because the light increase is real.

con ottima luminosità, luce bianca, nessun tremolio, nessun avviso sul quadro. Non capisco perchè non siano omologate per l'uso stradale, lampade come queste dovrebbero essere montate di serie su tutte le auto. La maggior luminosità significa magggiore visibilità e maggiore sicurezza. Non posso esprimere un giudizio sulla longevità delle stesse, il tempo dirà la sua. Sicuramente le ricomprerei. Prezzo adeguato alla qualità del prodotto.
