Great for Blackberry brambles, best gloves ever
We have wicked Himalayan blackberry rambles where I live, and they are almost impossible to handle without ripping your hands up. Most gloves just don’t cut it, blackberries can get through almost anything. But not these gloves! They worked beautifully. Even my mom was impressed, and she is 70 years old and has done a ton of yardwork in her life and is very tuned in to product quality. The mahogany color of these gloves is handsome and doesn’t show stains, the length keeps the blackberry vines from shredding your arms, and they actually fit me, and I have very big hands for a woman. The leather feels good on your skin, not sweaty and gross like synthetic gloves. They are super well-made with strong, perfect stitching. Hands-down, the best yard gloves I’ve ever owned in my 50 years on earth. Treat yourself right: yardwork is hard work, so spend just a little bit more and get these gloves that will serve you well probably for the rest your life.

Amazingly tough yet soft with excellent arm protection
Quality is great! Used them for the first time right after being delivered to cut back some 6+ft rose bushes that were in dire need of a trimming. Previously tried using my well padded leather ski gloves which worked okay but the thorns would easy puncture that soft leather and didn't go nearly as high as I needed. Immediately noticed how well the gauntlet protection went up the arm. If nothing else this is the single greatest feature. Fit was a little tight, but I caulk it up to these gloves may have been designed for a woman's hand. They fit snug and if I wasn't wearing a thinner spring type coat I suspect the cuffs going up wouldn't have been quite so tight. The leather is super soft which made me nervous at first but seriously my hands were well protected after two hours of truely testing them out. I did get about 2 small pokes through the gloves. I must have cut enough to create a new 6ft x 4ft bush. Even at the end when I was getting real careless and rough pulling out branches my hands barely felt anything but sill had excellent dexterity. I wouldn't hesitate recommending these to anyone else. If you have huge hands they may not fit comfortably. I have medium sized men's hands and they worked.

Love these gloves, finger tips could be sewn better.
We love these gloves. We moved to Arizona last year and, as another reviewer who influenced our purchase pointed out, everything here has thorns. I used the bejeezus out of these gloves over 3 months of re-landscaping, I ended up using them as work gloves because they saved my hands from blisters during hundreds of wheelbarrow runs. I just bought another pair of the white gloves, as the finger tips have opened up on 4 of the fingers from the stitching coming apart and it wasn't very fun moving a large agave the other day with them in this state. They protect from most thorns, the super thin cactus spines can still come through. My husband has (mostly) loved the pair I bought for him, he wears them when pruning the mesquite. The only down side of the gloves he has, the brown ones, is that they die his hands orange and I then tease him about having Oompa Loompa hands, which doesn't go over well. Overall good gloves, need sturdier stitching. Good price, recommended.

Got these for hauling and placing retaining wall blocks. After reading the reviews, I sized up and they fit perfectly. Saved my hands and arms. Good quality leather.

High quality!
Very nice and high quality! Great for pruning roses. Looks like a hawk should be coming by to land on your arm any minute. Could probably be used for that too!

Finally gloves that fit true to size
I've had bad luck finding gloves that fit me. Supposed XXL felt like Mediums usually. THESE gloves are awesome. I'm a big guy, with big hands, and these fit perfectly. Definitely help me do the gardening easier and pain-free, by not getting nicked by thorns. I would definitely buy these again when they wear out. True to size.

Bought these for clearing a back garden full of brambles and untouched for 20 years. These undoubtedly saved my hands and forearms many times. Unreservedly recommend.

I purchased these gloves to do yard work. I waited almost 4 weeks for them to be delivered. I received them May 17, 2018 and wore them over the May long weekend. By Sunday there was already a hole in the finger tip of the glove. For the price I thought I would have years of wear.

Neither rose nor salmonberry bush thorns are prevented from sticking your hands while using as the ones from Lee Valley are. Not send back but wouldn’t order again these particular gloves.
