Pros: - Colorful and fun to make. - All needed pieces are in place and well organized: bodies, cutouts, thread, needles, scissors, stuffing. - Instructions are provided. - Have not seen any misprints or defects. - Kids loved working on them and were pleased with how cute they turned out.. Cons: - The adhesive on the fabric cutouts sometimes sticks to the paper backing and peels off with it (whereas it should stay attached to the fabric to make it stick to the body) and there are no convenient tabs/edges to start peeling from - I would say this is a point for improvement. We had a couple pieces of cutouts ruined before we realized we had to be extra careful peeling them off. My kid needed help with all the rest of the pieces since she did not want to get upset ruining them. - I do not appreciate the amount of plastic packaging that is used - every creature has a separate bag with the relevant pieces, and also the needles and the threads are packaged separately. Though I can see how it is supposed to make it easier to separate the projects and figure out what goes with what, I feel that this is such a waste. - Also, I would suggest the scissors should not be included (aslo a waste and a cost increase) - I bet every household has scissors (even if not kid-friendly.. The parent could help. And I suppose a child who could handle a "sewing" project like this would be able to safely use regular scissors. Besides, there really is not much to cut - only the thread). Despite the cons, we still really like the product! I do hope the packaging will be revised anf the issue with the peeling would be addressed.

I love this sewing kit it’s perfect for a kindergarten. My daughters 6 and was able to do it on her own! Each one comes individually wrap, and everything you need is included even the scissors.

These cows are so cute and the kit is well thought out and very well done. The cows are made of good quality felt and easy to manage. Regarding the recommendation for ages 5-12, however, I found this activity to not hold a 5 yr old's attention (6+ did well), and I think a 12 yr old would find it boring. I would recommend for a slightly older child activity, unless able to sit and concentrate on the task (and not use the (good quality 6 strand) embroidery floss for a "tug of war." I was pleased with the extra child safe needles provided, which are easy to thread. The stickers complete the cute look of these cows.

This proved to be an excellent purchase. I bought it to take on a cabin trip with the grandkids. I wasn’t sure if they were too old (14,12,11) for a craft like this. They all loved it and even a couple of adults joined in. The quality on the materials is excellent. The kit contained plenty of yarn for sewing the pieces together. The instructions are very vague but manageable. Definitely a fun project. The animals are adorable.

This is the best craft kit I have ever purchased. I bought it as an activity for my grandkids. I got it out today for fun with a six year old granddaughter. She loved it!! I was so surprised by the exceptional quality. There are many, many birds included. Each one has its individual parts packaged neatly in a cellophane wrapper. No searching through a mass of pieces to find what you need, and each bird has its own instruction sheet. The felt is sturdy and colorful. Die cuts are absolutely, spot on, accurate. Needle holes are evenly spaced and cleanly cut. You receive a package of full skeins of embroidery floss in multiple colors - way more than you actually need. The birds, birdhouses and tree are a nice size, perfect for little hands. (See photo for relative size laid out on a one inch square grid.) In the end a six year old was able to do most of these on her own. Younger children would need more assistance but could still enjoy this craft. If you are an adult and need some cute birds to decorate a classroom or Sunday School room, this would be perfect. The entire kit is packaged to make it perfect for a group project. Five large plastic needles are included. There is even a child safe scissors, although an adult cutting the floss with a sewing scissors would work out better! Only one improvement is needed: As many have stated, it is really difficult to remove the backing to adhere the wings and other stick on felt pieces to the body. If you aren’t very careful you will remove the adhesive. I was unable to come up with a good trick that would work for this. But once you are successful the adhesive itself is firm and tight. You just have to be patient in finding a spot to lift the backing. A child cannot do this part.

So much fun for my seven year old granddaughter. She was able to do it mostly by herself after a little help and instruction. So cute! I think the worst thing was getting the backing off of the stick on features. There was a little difficulty with that.

Bought this for my 6 yr old granddaughter. Both of us loved this product. Each animal is individually wrapped (except for thread-which is in it's own bag and are full skeins of DMC thread-so there is plenty). I love that everything is so well organized. My GD did not have to hunt for every item she needed to make 1 animal. The wholes are bigger and more obvious so as not to frustrate a beginner with a needle and thread. The needles are plastic and perfect for little fingers and have large eyes for threading. The material of the animals is not felt but rather a stiffer thinner version of felt. This material makes it easier for a child to hold and sew at the same time. The stickers are clearly defined and precut but for one 1 mm that needs to be snipped. I liked this as they don't get lost before using. We made these putting the stickers on before sewing and some after sewing. The igloo was better before and animals that had bigger stickers like the otter & puffin. One of the most fun aspects of this product was opening up the bag of fluff which comes compressed. My GD loved cutting the bag and watching the fluff billow up. It's like a magic trick to a child. You don't need a lot of stuffing in the animals so there is a lot left for other projects. The instructions are pictorial. The only thing I would add is that the instructions do not tell you how much thread to use for each animal. We wrapped the thread loosely around the border of each animal 4 times then doubled it. It seems like a lot but you are knotting the ends of the thread together after threading through the needle. A double thread is going through each hole. My GD is not a crafter but she loves animals and she loved making these. I bought them during Amazon Days for $20.

Love the complete set of planets from the solar system together with the astronaut and rocket! Each one is wrapped individually and the quality is good. Instructions are easy to follow. It’s a great fine motor practice for preschooler!
