GM Genuine Parts 15128978 Alternator

Great AC Delco OEM Replacement. I replaced the factory installed alternator on my Escalade with 123,000 miles because of a low speed idle causing some inferior light flickering. I determined it was just the voltage regulator, but opted to replace the entire alternator anyways. This bolts right up to the 2005 Cadillac 6.0L brackets, works perfect, and eliminated the lower RPM interior lights from flickering. A great item.

My battery kept dying in a few days, and a check with an ammeter determined that my alternator was to blame (current was flowing backwards through the rectifier when the motor was off). The original alternator was a 145 Amp AD-244, but I noticed it had the same plug as this one. I had to get the correct serpentine belt. The install was incredibly easy, taking less than 15 minutes -- now I can leave it parked for over a week without any problems. This alternator also does a much better job running all of the trucks accessories at low engine RPM. With the original alternator, the blower motor would slow and the lights would dim when I racked the steering wheel back and fourth while idling. Not any more -- this alternator handles everything with ease.

Doesn't get better than original manufacturer's parts. This took only 20 minutes to swap out and now I don't have to worry about breaking down on the side of the road.

Arrived on time, direct fit with easy install, just didn't last as long as it should. And now I get to see if the warranty is any good thru Amazon.

Didn't work good on my gmc Yukon 2006 , I was getting 16 volt current more than what my car need . I have to return it back .
