This knife is amazing! I'm an older female, and I do not have the strength in my hands and arms that I used to. This knife allows me to cut up my sweet potatoes, and my Delconte squash properly!

I purchased this cleaver for my soon-to-be son-in-law for Christmas because he is an avid barbecuer. He's really good at it too! He'd been saying that the cleaver he had was just not right for processing a lot of barbecue. Well, I'm here to tell you that he was overjoyed to get this big, heavy cleaver and said it was just exactly what he was wanting. Yay!

Very sharp knife, cuts through meat like butter, but doesn’t cut through pork bones easily, small bones like chicken should be fine.

This knife arrives amazingly sharp, right out of the box. It has solid weight, a nice thick spine, and a firm handle, making it your go-to knife for just about any cutting, slicing or chopping task in your kitchen. This knife is a workhorse, and when finished, is easy to clean. It'll cut through an entire roast effortlessly, or through a rack of beef ribs. I've wanted one of these knives for a long time and this one has not disappointed me at all! I'm by no means a professional/skilled chef and slicing vegetables evenly and meat has always been a bit of a challenge for me. Since I've started using this knife, I'm able to cut meat all the way through when dicing on the first slice, I can cut vegetables a lot more even and quicker. I love the look of this knife and the feel, I could tell it was a very good quality knife as soon as I took it out of it's case, I plan on ordering more of the set to match. I also love that it came with it's own case, I keep the knife in it whenever I'm not using it. As of yet, I haven't put this kinfe in the dishwasher, I'm only wash it by hand because I've been told that it's better to never put knives in the dishwasher because the heat it too much. Not sure if this is 100% true but I want to take the best care of this knife so it can have the longest life possible. Knife was packaged well and arrived quickly after ordering.

It's a solid knife. I purchased it mainly to cut meat with as my other good knives lacked the robust size and weight required to do the task easily. It cuts meat a lot better than the other types of knives I have and it works well enough. After taking the knife out of the package I immediately washed it and the sponge I used was cut up into pieces. That was a good sign.

Cuts well. Good grip. Good weight. Useful.
