The Panasonic GM5 Menu System Simplified

This guidebook for the Panasonic GM5 menu system contains much helpful information. It's more approachable and less tedious than the user guide that comes with the camera. Today's digital cameras are densely packed with features and options, and a guide like this makes it possible to quickly locate and get a helpful briefing on a particular item one wants to use. You'll learn what features are available, what they do and how to use them. You'll also get some helpful tips and insights based on the author's experience using various features.It's a good guidebook that could easily be better. The Kindle edition I bought, which I assume is the same as the print version, would benefit from the services of a copy editor. In the absence of that, just a second set of eyes would be helpful. The writing is generally straightforward, conversational in style and easy to follow. But it is marred by the occasional sentence wherein the last word or two, and period, got left out so that it runs confusingly into the next sentence. There are word pairs here and there that seem to be curiously out of order. There are some places where punctuation is missing and others where it's misplaced. These things can distract and thus detract. For all of that, the information is well thought out, generously provided and very useful, in a modestly priced book that in my opinion is a good value.

I guess it is better than trying to sort through the manual but since this was a book for Panasonic GM5 it was weird to see reference to GH4. Did not cover how to setup wifi but luckily book didn't cost much.

Just what I was looking for to be able to understand a lot of the features of my GM5.

David's book is very clear and concise and will help you quickly get up to speed with using your camera having absorbed the key points. As I have the kindle version I have the added bonus of being able to dip into the book on my phone at any time as an instant reference.
