GEEETECH Filament Review Overview In the past, I’ve printed with Geeetech’s metallic pink and metallic blue filaments—both performed excellently and left a great impression. This tri-color silk PLA didn’t disappoint either; it continued that streak with ease. This review covers Geeetech Silk PLA Tri Color Filament (1.75 mm)—a coextruded blend of blue, purple, and black with a metal-like shimmer. I printed all test models on a Creality Ender 3 Pro, using settings that represent what most users might try out of the box, with only basic tuning. All prints were done straight from the spool with no drying. Test Setup • Printer: Creality Ender 3 Pro • Nozzle: 0.4 mm • Slicer: Cura 5.10.1 • Layer Height: 0.20 mm • Infill: 20% • Bridging Enabled: Yes • Bed Surface: Longer textured glass plate • Ambient Conditions: Approx. 24 °C, ~65% RH • Print Time: Approx. 2 hours Print Results Metric Observation Dimensional Accuracy Cube: X 20.15 mm, Y 20.12 mm, Z 19.92 mm. Cylinder: Ø 19.95 mm, Height 19.75 mm. Excellent tolerances for standard calibration pieces. Layer Adhesion Strong; models held up well under light flex and handling with no signs of delamination. Surface Finish Smooth satin sheen with mild reflection. The tri-color effect adds a premium look without overpowering detail. Bridging Clean on all spans of the temperature tower; consistent filament flow, no visible sagging or webbing. Overhangs Performed well on moderate angles—better than typical silk PLA in unsupported areas. Stringing Very minimal, even at 190 °C. A few faint wisps—barely noticeable and not an issue. Warping None observed across all models. Jamming No jams or clogs during the full print session. Odor None noticeable during printing. It printed cleanly, stayed within spec, and delivered models with just enough shine to stand out without compromising function. It’s a solid pick for anyone looking to add both style and reliability to their prints.

One of the best filaments I have ever printed. The metal colored coextrusions have a beautiful shine. The PLA prints perfectly out of the package. I print and give away fidgets and other items to support the Lord's message and the Geeetech coextrusions and rainbows are perfect to give color effects without the AMS hassle. Another advantage is the filament is coming on clear plastic rolls so you can really understand how much filament you have left. It works well on items that print in place with movement between the parts.

This TPU filament is as good as any. Easy to print, very strong, great color. The red looks just like twizzlers and that would make a great little prank. All joking aside, it's as good as any TPU flex filament.

This was my first experience with Tri color silk, and I must say, Its great stuff! It has a beautiful shine, especially if you take the time to print a temperature tower to see at what temp it shines the best in your printer. You can also print out a coin and see the alignment of the color changes and can turn your model accordingly to get the colors you want on the facets you want. I highly recommend you give it a try. The value for the money is top tier.

This multicolor silk PLA filament produces some great-looking prints. The bold gradient transition was exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it. ✅️ What I like: -Full 2.2 lb spool with tight winding. I have not had any issues with loose filament, tangling, or feeding problems. -Striking color blend. The primary colors are red and black, but there are also noticeable gold tones. This really stands out on movable prints like fidget toys, especially when viewed in motion. -Solid and opaque prints. My finished prints have come out strong, without brittleness, fragility, or unwanted translucency. -Clean performance. I have not experienced stringing, oozing, or nozzle clogs while printing. -Good bed adhesion. It adhered well to a clean, smooth PEI plate at 210°C. The listed print temperature range is 190°–230°C. ⚠️ What I didn’t like: -The red is darker than expected. On many prints, it leans more maroon rather than bright red. -The gold tones may not suit everyone. If you are specifically looking for a simple red-to-black gradient, the added gold may be a drawback. Overall, I’ve had a very good experience with this filament. The color contrast is bold, the printing performance has been reliable, and the finished prints look smooth and eye-catching. If you enjoy bold multicolor filament with a glossy silk finish, this is a fun option that prints well and creates standout pieces.

This is my first review for filament, which says a lot because I’ve purchased so much that I’ve lost count. This filament is 🤌. It’s beautiful, high quality, no stringing, no tangling, no cons whatsoever. This has been my favorite filament yet. Will purchase again and again.

works very well in my Bambu A1 printer i have not had any clogs with this and it lays down very nicely and is good value for the price

Pedido enviado con rapidez y bien embalado. Biene envasado al vacio como otros rollos de filamento de esta marca que ya he comprado con anterioridad. Trae una bolsa de plastico para poder guardar una vez abierto (Se agradece el detalle) El rollo es de 500gr y pesa lo que dice. Referente al material he tenido que ajustar algo los parámetros de ajuste de mi Ender 3s1 ya que al principio haciendo algun test me dejaba hilos, pero poniendo la distancia de retracción a 1,5 y la velocidad a 35mm/s, (Es extrusión directa) con una temperatura de extrusor de 215º y la cama a 60, la verdad es que la segunda prueba ha quedado de 10. Sin duda volveré a comprarlo. Pongo foto de la primera prueba y de la tercera.

Se imprime súper bien, con un acabado brillante espectacular. 215/60 de temp a 30mm/s con retracción. Compraré más colores!

Väldigt mycket string/ludd vid 250 gr nozzle-temp. Klarar max 235 gr för att minska string/ludd. Annars helt ok, printar utomhusdetaljer så fin skogsgrön färg som smälter in.

Un filamento muy bueno.Viene embasado al vacío para su mayor conservación y además viene con su bolsa para luego guardar y proteger de la humedad.Recomendado 100%.

Para ser el primero que pruebo me ha sorprendido, el color prácticamente se mantiene tal cual, es muy flexible y me ha venido genial para una carcasa de movil que queria hacerme desde hace tiempo. Me ha funcionado bien a pesar de no haber utilizado una extrusión directa.
