Are these metal or ceramic?

The first person answered ‘ceramic’ but then goes on to say they ‘can’t answer anything about them.’ I should have read further answers as I wouldn’t have bought them knowing they’re metal. There’s only one spot on his whole add that says they are ‘tin’ so if you want ceramic DONT BUY THESE

Will these rust if stored on a ceramic bath surround where the environment is humid?

I live in a dry climate and these are in my kitchen

Do these have a chemical smell inside? I ordered some from another company recently, but had to return them due to a distinct smell on the inside.

I have ONE canister that I have not used yet and I put my nose right in & did not smell anything, but I do not have real sensitive nose. I LOVE my canisters and would recommend them. The seal is tight without being difficult to get the lid off.
