Fantastic for many uses
I use this for my 4 dogs. Mainly bought it for my senior dog who has bad tummy issues, he would puke and have runny poo atleast once a week and wouldn't eat. My corgi had a stinky butt from his anal glands. This powder has changed everything. My senior is eating more and potting regularly, his tummy issues have subsided almost completely. Now he has an episode maybe once a month if not longer and my corgi's butt stink has gone away. I mix it into their food and they can't even taste it.

Good Product to use as part of an overall plan .
I have a 3 year old 135lb male German Shepherd (in tact). I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. Since he was about a year old his fur has been on the dull side, he shedded a lot, was always scratching. On the edges of his ears there were a few bare spots and he had dry dandruff. He also would get what looked like cysts or abscesses on his back that he would bite and break open. Then these seemed to get further infected resulting trips to the vet for steroids and antibiotics. He always smelled yeasty and his stools were almost always soft, not runny. On the last round of these issues I think I may have found the combination that works for him. I noticed that after the Vet perscribed Fortiflora that after a few days he stopped smelling yeasty. That led me to purchase Tummy Works because it is cheaper. Here is the "magic formula" that seems to have worked very well . DO NOT expect this to work overnight. Give it at least 30 days but I would guess you will see results withing 1 to 2 weeks. 1. Use Tummy Works per directions 2. I feed him Purina Pro Plan Salmon and Rice 3. As soon as I see anything that may look like a hot spot beginning I use Genta Ved topical spray (by perscription) 4. WIth each feeding he gets a little Hills science diet canned dog food and a little cheese. 5. I do use Apoquel if I notice him itching 6. He gets 3 generic clearatin tabs daily and one Vitamine E tab daily 7. About every 8 weeks he gets a shampoo with a medicated shampoo designed to reduce fungus and hot spots. The result of all this is that his fur is soft and shiny, he does not shed nearly as much as before, his poop is smaller and solid, he does not smell yeasty and he does not itch nearly as much. This is what worked for me. It took a long time to figure this out but this seems to be working.

Store it in the fridge
Update: Seller messaged, gave refund, asked to try again. I kept the new container that came in after. STORE THIS IN THE FRIDGE. All problems solved! I've since ordered again, stored in the refrigerator, and my pups have had no issues. No black dots in the powder either. The probiotic does as it claims. I recommend I have been ordering this for over two years now with great success. During this last container both of my boys have experienced vomiting. No changes to their food, treats etc. They have not been given this for over a week and have both stopped the vomiting. They are different sizes and breeds. Something has changed and while they say the black specs are normal in the powder, I say that's false. This container contained the most I've seen for two years worth of product. Pretty sad to see something that worked so well at first, go completely downhill.

It WORKS!!!
I wanted to wait a while to review to give the product time to work knowing that it could take weeks for this to really start to take noticeable effect, but the great news is that less than a week in I'm already seeing a substantial improvement. My Jack Russel had developed a horrible, almost frantic itch, terrible gas, loose stool and he had awful, fetid body odor. I thought it might be an allergy and the vet recommended Benadryl which only seemed to make him too tired to scratch quite as much. He was obviously miserable and I was at my wits end watching him constantly dig at himself to the point where he drew blood and cried while he continued to scratch. Then my mom visited and took one look and sniff of him and said "that's a yeast infection." I couldn't believe that neither myself or the vet had even considered it. I didn't want to slather the poor kid in Monistat cream, and I knew that yeast issues are almost always gut related so I went searching online for a probiotic and found TummyWorks. The reviews in large part were great and the research I did on the company pointed to a reputable product so I ordered it and started mixing the powder in with his food. I also started using a diluted vinegar rinse on his coat to see if that helped with the itch. Within 48 hours the gas had started improve a little and while we weren't positive it seemed the itch had backed off a little. We are now on day 6 of treatment and the itch has decreased by more than half, the body odor has improved by even more than that and the itching is less than a quarter of what it was at its worst. His stool, which had become almost liquid is almost back to normal and the gas, while still present, has also improved tremendously. He is already obviously feeling so much better that he even wanted to play last night; that hasn't happened in a couple of months!

Seemed to work for dog breath and flatulence - wish it were less expensive
(see edit at bottom) I bought this for a dog who is on a load of antibiotics, steroids, pain meds...and has been eating grass a lot because of it. I wanted to help calm his tummy and hopefully avoid a system crash once he's off all these meds. I can't say for certain whether it's helped him, and he's still eating grass (but it seems like maybe not as much?), but I hope to see good effects in the next few weeks as he tapers off all the meds. However, it has been AMAZING for my other dog, who has "death breath" - so bad it can make a room stinky just by her mere presence; she gets less attention because of such bad breath and is locked out of rooms because she makes mealtimes very unpleasant. She cannot help but eat gross things outside, no matter how often I clean up the yard. I've bought breath stuff and teeth stuff, but nothing has helped. I thought we'd just have to live with it. I read a suggestion to use probiotics for bad dog breath, and she's gotten this for 3 days and it has made a huge difference already. My husband, who claims he can't smell things well, has even commented on the lack of stink. My kids suddenly don't mind her being in their faces, and I don't have to lock her out of the kitchen while I prepare and eat food. Granted, there is still a little smell, but it feels much more like a normal bit of dog breath instead of "death breath." I would give it 5 stars just based on how well it works, but I knocked a star off because of the price. This feels so crazy expensive to maintain (esp. compared to what I pay for my own good probiotics), and I know we can't spend $28 every 55 days (one dog on 1 scoop per day, the other on 2 scoops). I'm going to have to research to find the same strains and limited ingredients in something more cost-effective for us. I'm SO GLAD it worked for the breath, and I'd like to keep my dogs on it. I also wonder about reducing the doses after a few weeks, by 1/2, to use less but still get the benefits. We'll see. Edit to review, 5/13: I took off another star because 1) the good-breath effects seem to have mostly gone away and 2) it seems to have made my dog-in-recovery, who was already a picky eater, refuse to eat most of his food at every meal. I cannot be sure about why the good breath didn't stay away (we did not reduce the amount she gets), and it does still seem slightly better than it was before any probiotics, but the stink is definitely back. I do think it may have helped reduce stinky-dog's bad flatulence though, which is a miracle. And I cannot be positive that these probiotics are why my recovering dog isn't eating, except to say that in spite of all he had been through and all the meds, he was actually eating well up until shortly after we started using this product on his food. He definitely noticed it on the food and tried to pick around it, so we reduced him from 2 scoops to 1, and it didn't improve his eating. Now he seems distrustful of any food we give him and isn't eating well, so we've stopped using this on his food (and he's the reason I originally got this...) I'm disappointed.

Very pleased
I purchased this product after taking my cat to the vet for an ear infection and diarrhea. They gave him antibiotics,a wormer and probiotics which is pretty standard. His ears cleared up but there was still an issue with diarrhea. He didn't have hardcore diarrhea but soft stools that my vet said was still a problem. After the meds didn't seem to work the next option was $250+ gastro testing which I am hardpressed to afford. I started looking online for other options and found Tummyworks. The reviews were good and it claimed to address Jack's issues. Some people said they saw firm stools in a few days or a week. I didn't. Not in one week or two. I was getting frustrated and went back to Tummyworks website and it said it could take up to four weeks. So I kept at it. I give him a little more than a half scoop a day. I also split the dosage up to twice a day. Its now been four weeks and as gross as this sounds but anybody that has been dealing with a pet with diarrhea will understand...Jack has turds, real turds. I am so relieved. The main reason I'm leaving this review, besides the fact this stuff works, is that it can take awhile. So if you don't see immediate results be patient and give it a month before you decide it doesn't work for your animal. If your pet has more serious diarrhea rather than just very soft stools a month may be too long but in my situation it paid off. I highly recommend Tummyworks,

Buyer beware, if you pet has any allergies
First I would like to start I usually don't post reviews on any product, but this needs to be posted, my dog is around 13 full breed Yorker terrier: He has always had a sensitive stomach, around a year ago I had purchased probiotics with great results, my dogs stomach issues were practically non existent, now ever since my dog was puppy he had allergies, nothing that would effect his well being, but he still had them. I recently had run out of the particular brand I was using for the probiotics. So I decided to switch to a different brand, big mistake stick with what works, anyway I read the reviews on this brand and it looked good. I couldn't be more wrong, we received it fairly quickly and my wife gave it to me dog, Now my dog is 8 1/2 pounds so we gave him a little over a quarter scoop. So now comes the scary part. I workedlate and had to be up very early in the morning for my other job, around 12:00am my dog starts having coughing wheezing fit, it sound alike he is coughing up a hair ball, now typically this happens if he licks himself to much. Only this night he kept going, and going and going, gasping for air, and coughing, this lasted practically all night into the early morning hours. My thought is whatever is in this product caused an allergic reaction to my pet which, if he kept taking could have been catostrophic, I will be asking for a full refund, and amazon should take a good look at this product. I don't know if I got a bad batch. But I am very highly upset would could have happened. Now am I bashing this company, no but I am letting everyone that's purchases this product about my experience, thank you for taking the time to read this.

EXCELLENT PROBIOTIC POWDER FOR YOUR BELOVED DOGS!!
Excellent Product! It's exactly as described by the seller. Our large, long haired German Shepherd loves the taste and it does exactly as stated. Great for dogs irritable bowels and has also helped alleviate issues with his skin and scratching. You only need a little of the powder and cost per use is really great. As always, Amazon products always arrive in perfect condition and on time. Thanks so much; we highly recommend this product for your beloved pets!!!

This product has not worked at giving my dog a firmer stool
This product does not work near as well as the last product that I bought which was Strawfield Pre+Probiotics which seems to have been dropped by Amazon. I will look for this one and hopefully find it before I need it.

BEST k9 probiotic
I have two Frenchies and one has serious gut problems. I’ve tried other probiotics which have made the issues worse or have done nothing. This one is great and doesn’t cause any diarrhea. I use it daily on dry food in the morning.
