Balance are the best. My favorites are Yogurt Honey and plain old Peanut Butter. Lemon meringue is a blast, also. These power bars are great healthy substitutes for the candy bar or bag of chips I used to eat and they satisfy both my sweet and salty cravings.

Compared to others of its genre, these are very edible, taste like food, and are reasonably priced. Works well as semi-breakfast to accompany meds that need food.

Shelf space for protein and energy bars has beome limited and my grocery stores have stopped carrying Balance bars . ...the honey peanut yogurt ones are the best !

The Zone has been my go to for years. Wish I had stuck to it in my younger years instead of getting on the fad diet bandwagon because it is a way of eating that makes me feel best. That said, I first tried the Yogurt Honey Peanut variety probably 20 years ago and you could taste the honey. That delicious honey flavor is gone. Over time, it seems like even the best companies reel back on authenticity and quality a bit to stay competitive. That said, it's still a nice tasting bar. It's just not a great tasting bar anymore. Balance Bar is still a good quick breakfast and snack. This reminds me of when Nestlé bought Cadbury and swore to loyal Cadbury fans they'd never change the recipe or quality. They did. They result was a chocolate that wash still better than Hershey's but no longer great. I don't think most companies strive for great anymore. They go for good enough.

More healthy than candy and easy to keep in purse

This is my favorite protein bar. It has a great taste. Not bland or cardboard tasting. I love these.
