I'd owned an earlier model Weight Watchers scale that was digital but pretty standard scale construction, plastic housing over the internal works. I was purposely looking for an upgrade with the heavy glass base because I'd read they were more stable, not subject to as much variation in readings as the older kind. I'd been happy with my previous WW scale so I was VERY happy to find a glass one like this and at a good price on Amazon. Yes, I read the reviews where some people said the "tap to weigh" feature gave them troubles, but my previous, older WW scale worked the same way, so there wasn't any learning curve for me. Now, that said, this model does require a pretty meaningful TAP - where the old, cheap model just took a toe tap, this one requires me to clonk it pretty good with the front of my foot, but once I wake it up like that, it sets to zero and you step on and get your weight a second or so later. The platform is VERY sturdy - surprisingly so! I expected it to be thinner material, but it's quite substantial. The four legs and the heavy glass make it very stable. My older WW model had a much smaller overall platform and was not stable at all, and if you stepped on it wrong it'd try to tip. I don't think you COULD tip this model over at all - it has a much wider platform than many scales I've seen and is very stable on the floor. I did the usual thing to check a new scale, stepping on and off several times to see if it'd repeat the reading - it did, down to the ounce! I took a 15 pound weight out of my home gym and stuck it on there - it weighed 15.1 ounces, which I'm more likely to attribute to the weight manufacturer than anything else, but even if you want to argue it was truly off .1, who cares? Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. High quality, substantial build, accurate, stable and an excellent price. Go for it!

We were looking for a second weight watcher scale to have in our rv. We actually returned this scale simply because our old eyes needed a backlight display and in all my research I failed to notice this choice did not have it. We both stepped on the scale to determine if it would work for us and quickly realized I had missed the backlight. It weighed accurately when compared to our current scale and the display was large. We had chosen this one as we liked the rounded top that provided a handle to easily store and move around the fifth wheel. For us the need of a lighted display trumped the handle. I would recommend it to anyone that isn’t needing the backlight.

Be patient when setting up your new Weight Watchers scale. When I first opened it, like most people I did not read the directions thinking how hard can this be, right? Well...I unscrewed the battery cover on the back, removed the little red protector and screwed the cap back on. The digital glass scale only flashed "Lo" once and then wouldn't read anything else, not a single digit. I returned to read the reviews hoping to find an answer fearing the worst...I might have to return it. However, after re-reading the product description page on Amazon I found the answer - MAKE SURE TO PUT THE TOP BATTERY UNDERNEATH THE LITTLE METAL FLIPPER, THEN SCREW ON THE CAP. Once I did that, voila my new Weight Watchers glass scale booted up, went to 0.00 lbs and then I was able to weigh myself. I gladly and confidently give this product a 5 star rating. I'll return after using it for 30 days to update my review if needed.

This is my second scale from WW. The quality is good and the scale is sturdy. The weight is spot on accurate. If I had one con about the scale, it's that it will not give you your weight instantly. It does take about 20-25 seconds. Forget it and stand tall and still and after a few seconds look down and step off. Great value for the money. Update: I don’t know what happened, tapping the foot in the green label on the scale normally resets the scale to all 8888’s , then sets to Zero ( indicates you can step on the scale). Now nothing. I slid my foot under the scale and raised my toes, lifting it less than an inch. It automatically reset and zeros out, ready to step on. Expect it to still take 20 seconds to get your weight. I took one star off for that factor.

I had an old Weightwatchers scale that worked perfectly for years. Ordered this as a replacement, and it weighed me 5 pounds less and more within a few minutes. Returned for a replacement. The replacement did the same thing! So asked for a refund.

Easy to use. You do have to hop on the scale immediately as soon as it turns on otherwise it will automatically shut itself off. I often have to lift the scale by one side to “wake it up” so that I have time to get on the scale. No idea if it is accurate or not since I don’t have anything to compare it to, but seems close to what my doctor’s office scale says. Overall it is “easy” in that like any scale, you step on it & it calculates weight for you. “Difficult” to use in that the auto-off function occurs so quickly there is almost no time to get on before it shuts itself off again. For the price, I think this scale is worth it.

Great scale. Unfortunately tooooo accurate

This Scale Varies In Its Weight Readings. I Have Found, That One Needs To Step On The Scale And Get The Reading. Then, Get Off Of The Scale And Let The Numbers Clear Off. Then, Get Back On The Scale And Get A Second And Third Reading. I Have Found, That The First Reading Is Not The Same As The Second And Third Reading. Also, Note That This Scale Has A 10 Year Warranty. The Company Really Stands Behind The Product. However, I Have Had To Have My Scale Replaced Due To The First One Stop Working.

Used this scale for many years then stopped working so luckily found it on Amazon. Only difference is this one doesn’t illuminate the reading. Would recommend this scale.
