Haiku Women's Ascend Eco Handbag, Mushroom

I love this bag. It is a little smaller than my last daily "workhorse" bag but still holds everything I need. Love the pocket configuration; very convenient and secure. Very high quality construction, I think this one will last a long time. Very rich looking and a nice neutral color I an use all year as a good "everything" bag. Also love that it is eco-friendly and vegan. I have not had it long, but so far I am very impressed.

I LOVE Haiku as a company for their integrity and for their eco-friendliness. The trouble is I have a hard time finding the right purse for my style and my functions. I love the looks of all of them but functionality is always a challenge for me. I need things to be quick and handy. This one is the best for that as it has the two slip pockets on the outside. I always love the versatility of an adjustable strap for crossbody use AND the handle that is smaller for quickly grabbing and throwing over my shoulder for a more controlled fit. It's adorable and I have received compliments on it right away. The cons? I prefer a wider opening. This is definitely tolerable, but it would be better if it were larger. I also would like more slip pockets on the outside. The zipper pocket that is vertical is practically useless to me as I generally am doing things one handed and I can't seem to do that well with one hand. The one on the back is horizontal and more functional but I would prefer to have two more slip pockets on the back vs. the zip. That's just me though, nothing wrong with the way it is. It's super cute and functions fairly well. The inside is more of a challenge with the pocket that is open falling open and catching what I'm dropping in without me intending for it to be in that "side" pocket. It would be best if that were two slip pockets instead of one so it didn't flop open so much. I think I'm going to glue that and make it two smaller slip pockets so I don't have things going in there unintentionally. The zipper pocket on the inside is a bit smaller than expected but it works okay. Hope this helps!

I got this purse a week ago and so far I LOVE it. Well made, large enough to fit my iPad in, but not so big that I feel like I'm lugging around luggage. Cross-over strap is very comfortable and long enough for me (I am 5'10") but adjustable for any fit. The shoulder strap is cute if you prefer that style. Lots of convenient pockets make finding things really easy. I was a little worried about the pattern/colors but I have found that it matches so much of my wardrobe. Goes great with jeans or shorts. Would go great with business casual attire too.

I searched high and low for the perfect travel bag to replace my favorite Sherpani one that had worn out... SO glad I found this one! I’ve had it for over a year now and have taken it on several trips, including a month long trip to Scotland and Germany. The pockets are well placed and good sized. One of the front pockets fits a small to medium sized water bottle. The bag is big enough to hold all my essentials (wallet, glasses case, snack, light sweater) but lightweight enough to not be bulky. The ONLY issue I have is that the shoulder strap is not the same material as the rest of the bag, and doesn’t match. The strap is also rather thin and can get a bit uncomfortable

My Haiku bucket purse has lasted two years without any signs of wear. Two years is a long time, and I was ready for a slightly bigger bag and a new color scheme. My new Haiku Ascend bag is perfect! The organizational pockets are well placed and the bag holds a lot more than it looks like it should hold. I love that I can switch from shoulder strap to cross body, and that the straps are strong and don't slip off the shoulder. The material is lightweight and flexible, but still wear resistant and sturdy.

I love the design of this bag and how roomy it is! Especially that it is vegan and has a canvas like feel to it. The wide base help it to stand as well as provide enough room inside even after all your things are put into it. The two open pockets in front are perfect for dropping in or grabbing items and holding a bottle of water. The zipper pocket on the back is smaller, but can hold keys, work badges (in my case) and be secure. The vertical pocket on the front I thought was a bit odd, but a nice decorative touch and actually discovered my small pocket calendar slides in perfectly (about the size of a check book holder). The only reason I don't give it a full five stars is that while it does stand on its own, the ends of the zipper where the handle hooks latch on sag quite a bit due to the weight of the buckles/handles and can make it difficult to unzip if its not hanging or you're not wearing it (I usually keep my bag in my drawer at work) and my other bag does not do this. But still great overall!

I love my Haiku Ascend bag!! I ordered the Cactus color and in person it has a greenish-grey appearance. This is due to the use of green thread woven in on the exterior grey area as a stitching accent. The flat oval shaped bottom lends plenty of usable interior space and helps the bag sit upright. Each of the pockets are large enough to easily hold a smartphone. I currently have a Nexus 5X and I am able to fit it in any pocket. I have had no issues with the comfort of the straps. The Ascend was my first Haiku purchase and since I have also ordered the Raspberry color Sprint Eco Duffle. I haven't used the duffle yet but, I absolutely love its appearance!

I really love this bag. In fact, this is the second I’ve purchased from Amazon. I just wanted to try a new color and I was wearing out my old Haiku Ascend (the leather accents on the front were wearing away). The bag is the perfect size, not too big and not too small. Since it’s pretty wide (front to back) compared to most small handbags, it makes it feel more spacious. I use it as an everyday bag for work/life and as a small diaper bag on the weekend. Just enough space for a few diapers, some wipes, and the essentials (snacks!!). I love the neutral colors and the aqua/teal pattern lining. Also, and this is new, the bag has a lovely quote sewn into the inside of the bag (see photo). Love it!!
