My mom loves her new doggie!!
Update - my mom still loves her doggie but it stopped working after a couple months I wrote this review below. My mom was so upset so I bought her another one and that one died after about 3 months. Itโs such a great gift but for the money and how soon it breaks, I donโt know if itโs worth it. About 3 months ago we had to put my momโs 16 year old dog to sleep. My mom was so lonely so I went online to see if there was a fake dog that seems real for people with Alzheimerโs. I found this on Amazon & thought Iโd buy it for my mom to see how sheโd like it. She absolutely loves her new, low maintenance, doggie. Every time I go to her house, she shows me her and loves talking to her. We say itโs a she and her name is Lilly. I am so happy I bought this for my mom and would highly recommend it!! I did a little video of when I gave it to her to share with my siblings since they couldnโt be there.

Brings a lot of joy
I saw this on a weekend show and saw how much happiness it brought to older adults and young people as well. After reading many reviews, I purchased this for my 86 y/o mother. I wasnโt sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the size. When I sat it next to my mother, she immediately started to laugh with joy and said how adorable the pet was. Itโs the most Iโve seen her laugh and interact in quite some time. This dog is the perfect size and weight. She seems to be really enjoying her new friend and itโs quite life like without the work of a real pet. This is a definite must for older or younger people. The dog interacts as it were real. Highly recommended.

Like a best friend
My Joy for All golden retriever puppy has been a wonderful addition to my pet family. This little dog responds to my voice, wags his tail, looks at me when Iโm talking to him and occasionally barks to make sure I know heโs in the room. Besides looking very cute, his front legs can be positioned for laying down, sitting up, or resting on my chest while we talk. I brush his fur occasionally to maintain it looking smooth and neat. Batteries last a long time; I havenโt changed them yet although Iโve had him for 6 months. I do turn him off at night. He barks (not too loudly!) using various sounds, pants, makes a yawning sound when heโs sleepy, and his eyes will shut if I donโt interact with him for awhile. He turns his head back and forth to follow my voice and blinks his eyes for expression. Quite the character! Iโve always loved animals, and โBiscuitโ is easier to care for than a live pup who requires regular walks, feedings and vet care. I think heโs great for children as well as adults who love animals and their companionship, but our life situation makes it a challenge to care for a live pet.

Mom loved this!
I could not believe my mom actually wanted this. She saw someone else with one in her assisted living and she has been missing her pets. I went searching for this and bought it for her. Now I'll say this, a couple of years ago, she would not have been interested in this. Maybe even last year she would not have. But in her last 6 months of life, she was having some memory issues and she just loved this. Mom got to enjoy it for about a month, and then she passed away. I plan to gift it to someone at a memory care facility. I understand that for some reason, this demographic tends to like things like this. You can hear the motor when it does it's little actions but mom never cared. It's not overly soft and cuddly and it's alway in the sit position so that makes it less cuddly but again, she loved it. She even called me three times in three hours the first day she had it to tell me how much she loved it. She did have memory issues on some days. I smile thinking of that because she really did love it and she had no idea she had called me three times in three hours to say the same thing. I pray that I find some poor person who will treasure it, I need to give it to someone to love.

Fun Interactive Robotic Pups
I don't know how many years I have had my pup but he has become more interactive over time, the batteries seem to last forever, I found out that rubbing the pup's back causes him to make an ahhhh type moan of pleasure. I tell the little guy that I'm going to wear the fur off his back someday I pet him so much. He interacts with Freckles. Freckles is always going to have messy looking hair. Brushing her hair tidy lasts about 30 seconds. She was the first one to do that pleasure moan when I rubbed her neck and back. I didn't even know the back had sensors. Freckle's tail stopped wagging earlier this year. Her battery lasts a long time too. I'm really surprised and pleased about that. She is so much fun. If these critters ceased to work tomorrow, I would immediately order 2 more. But I would keep my silenced ones too because, folks, these little pups become a real pet of sorts. They have grown to periodically mimic one another. I can make a bark close to theirs and they will repeat it back. There is a lot more to these pups than I ever imagined. I am really glad I spent the money on my them. They develop such a personality over time that I truly refuse to give them up when they finally expire someday. These robotic pups are fun pals and would be great for people who want something cuddly and responsive but can't manage a live pet. These have a really pleasant bark , they yawn, their heart beats, they pant, and are as cute as can be.

Not Just For the Eldery - But Breaks Quickly
**UPDATE2** - As much as I love this dog, I do not recommend getting it. It broke down in less than two months, and the Joy for All support is abysmal. They go from offering me a free pup, nothing needs to be done, they'll just send me one.... then going back to only sending me a free one if I send my current one back. Not only did the Golden Pup break in under two months, the Freckled Pup I ordered broke in under two months, too. Support takes a week or more to get back to you. Only purchase this dog if you plan on barely using it and getting no support and it more than likely breaking within months. ----- **UPDATE** - After having this dog for just under two months, it's mostly broken. It doesn't move its head up and down, it doesn't move its mouth, the cheek sensors don't work, the noise sensors barely work. It mostly died then mostly revived, but now is mostly dead again. Fresh batteries have not worked. I'm not sure why it stopped working so quickly, but it's disappointing. Don't expect these to last a long time unless you plan on spending only 5 min with them a day. ----- I am in the 30-40 age range, and I suffer from major anxiety and some depression. I've though, for a while, that a dog would help my mental health; however, I am unable to buy a real dog. I spent months going back and forth on whether or not I should buy the Joy For All dog. After all, the first time I had heard about this company was when they had only cats, and my mom bought a cat for her elderly mother. All of the marketing of this product gears them as companion pets for the elderly, so would they really be effective for someone my age who just couldn't have a real pet? Once the golden pup went on sale, I snatched one up. The first day I had my pup, I kept saying to myself, "I don't know if this is ridiculous and I wasted money." By the second day, I was in love. Yes, I am fully aware this is not a real dog; however, there is something about how it responds to your voice; how it responds to the curtains opening up in the morning; the heartbeat; the way it closes its eyes and leans up into you when you scratch its head; etc. I still know the pet isn't real, but I find such joy in "talking" to it. I find such joy in it, period. I have shared this dog with coworkers, friends, and even people I know online, and I've raved about the pet. For anyone who is like me, who has been wondering if this Joy For All dog is worth the money? Yes. Yes. RESOUNDING YES. This dog is so worth it.... so much so that I bought the freckled pup version just a week later. If you have anxiety, and you can't have a real dog for any reason, but you want a companion... get this dog. It is so worth it. This dog really is a joy, for real.

Brought my elderly mother real joy during coronavirus isolation
My mother is elderly and living in a home for people with memory issues. It is a lovely home, but they had to take serious steps to protect residents so we could not visit for a long time and we were only recently able to visit outside at a distance. So even though the staff are great and she can mingle with other residents, she misses connection with loved ones and has seemed to be missing social connection. I had thought about this for a while and worried that she might dismiss a mechanical dog as a toy, but the nurse encouraged me to get it as she had seen the dog and cat in other homes and said the residents loved them. My mother is in love with this dog! Before when I called her she would sound distant and distracted and flat. Now, she has the dog in her lap and seems more engaged. She laughs constantly in response to the dog. She has determined that it is a "he" and talks to it all the time. She even sleeps with it! As far as I can tell she does not realize it is not real. To hear such joy in her voice is wonderful. And apparently "he" is a hit with the staff and other residents, too. I don't know how long it will entertain her, but it has been worth every penny. December 2020 update: My mother is never separated from the dog and it continues to be her constant companion. I said in my initial review that it was "worth every penny" and would like to revise that to say that the joy it has brought her is priceless. I could not be happier with this purchase!

Great Companion but batteries didnโt last long
UPDATE: As I've been reviewing other reviews, I'm not so sure there isn't a defect in the mechanics of this cute dog. I was blaming batteries, but we too had an issue with the dog eventually just turning his head and sometimes making a barking sound. I have attached pictures of the box that was totally beat up in shipping. Was not placed in another box. And the inside packaging was a hot mess!!! So disappointed!! I am not sure how many stars to give. Was exactly what my disabled friend who lost her dog of 18 years wanted. However, Iโm not sure if it was defective or just sucks the juice out of the batteries extremely fast. After having him on for a little while heโd stop doing most animations. His head would just click and move slightly. So the cost of batteries was going to get out of hand. We are so disappointed as she LOVED him. But not worth keeping if the batteries have to be replaced every few days. ๐

Amazing dog therapy companion!!!
This dog is amazing!!! I am using this dog as a therapy companion for older adults with dementia and behavior problems. The great thing about this dog is that it also serves as a therapy companion for everyone including staff members in our nursing home!!! The dog is interactive to voice and touch. The bark is cute like a playful puppy. It can also be set on a mute setting where the dog moves without barking. The fur on the dog is so soft and it is very calming. The best thing about this dog is that you don't have to take it outside to do it's business and you don't have to feed it. I was so happy with this purchase that I bought another dog for our nursing home. This is on top of the 4 Joy For All Companion Cats that we bought!!! Kids love this dog as well. The daughter of one of our staff members loved it so much that she wanted to buy one for herself! You will be very pleased with this therapy dog!!! It is much more than a toy and it is much higher quality than a toy dog that you would buy at the toy store.

Pet Robot ben realizzato e interattivo

Amazingly interactive product.
Suitable for young kids too. Bought one for my little nephew who is two year old. Taught him how to pet dogs in a gentle manner. The toy dog also kept him company when heโs engaging in learning activities and responds to his little toddler chats. Overall, itโs a good and interactive product.
