This is an editing of a review I did yesterday, with an update about the quality of these chairs. If you buy a pair of them, the possibility that at least one of them will be defective is high, in my opinion. It was a foolish purchase, let me be clear, but we are on a limited budget, and there you have the motivation. These chairs were quite reasonably priced. It is obvious that no one manufactures particularly well-made furniture for the great masses. This being said, these were all right looking on Amazon's site, and we needed to replace a couple badly dangerous and wobbly chairs.What we found was that one of the chairs is so defective that it was dangerous to use until my husband fixed it. He should not have had to repair a new item from what one might think of as a reputable furniture "manufacturer".Let me explain about the chair in question. FIRST there was a problem with the pre-drilled holes that connect the chair bottom to the single body chair back with its legs (the only positive thing I can say about these chairs). The holes could not be modified, so there is the first strike against these chairs. These bolts remain missing as they could not be put in. (Remember that only one of the chairs is defective.) So we have a chair that cannot be adequately attached to the "rake back" and the back legs. Strike one. SECOND, we discovered that the bottom of the chair which came attached to the wooden seat frame (look at the picture of the chairs close up) did not have screws or bolts or any attachment on the right side of the chair. You could simply lift the bottom up off the frame. The screws on the other side were too short so that they were not capable of holding the bottom to the frame. Strike 2. THIRD, the left front leg proved to be at least 1 inch too short. There are "levelers" in the bottom of the legs, but why do you ask would that be necessary?Because the manufacturing process was so SLOPPY that they just added screws to the bottom of the legs to "level" them up. That way they did not have to be precise with the manufacturing of the legs. This is the first time I have ever seen "levelers" on a chair, especially metal screw levelers that will rip up you nice laminate or wood floor pronto. What a travesty and sad excuse of a legitimate manufacturing process and end product. Strike 3.We cannot return them as you have render the packing carton impossible to reuse to get the chairs out. Practically speaking, we are also elderly, and do not have access to the technology that would allow us to make a return anyway. So we are stuck with these pieces of junk. My husband managed to "fix" the chair in question, but it is not much better than the chair it was meant to replace. I am angry about this, as we were just trying to make a small improvement in our living arrangements. What a mistake. I personally will never purchase anything from Ashley either online or in a store. Their products are junk. By the way, in an effort to get some reconciliation, I called the Ashley CS number to say all this, but was met with disinterest. Yadayadayada.I am adamant when I say do not buy these chairs. Beware of this item as the quality of this was way below acceptable. Just look elsewhere. If you can afford it go to a furniture store which will, by the way, charge much, much more for items like this. At least they will guarantee the quality of their products and live up to a warranty. I know Iwon't be fooled again.What we discovered on putting them together that one of the chairs has bolt holes that are engineered at least 5/16 inch off so that the bolts cannot possibly be positioned in them. They could not be drilled out to work, so we have one partially assembled chair that looks normal, but is not. Let me reiterate these two holes are in one chair only, so this chair is much less stable to sit in. This is, of course, why we were purchasing these chairs in the first place. Ergo, we have one safe chair to replace two unsafe chairs. This is unacceptable in my opinion. On top of this we now have an extra chair to throw into the trash.You can say that we can return them. Wait a minute, not so easily, I reply as that requires packing them exactly as they came out of the package, getting by some esoteric manner the return label or jump through whatever hoops are required, shlepp the package to a UPS store for the return. This is not possible for us. I need not burden you with the problems in doing this but suffice it to say we are too old for this caper.In effect we paid twice as much for the one chair as we should have, as the defective one should be tossed in the trash bin to save future issues with its safety. This is why I am giving these Ashley chairs a one star review. The quality is just not up to par even for the cheap furniture for the masses. By they way they aren't all that comfortable either. The color is okay, not amazing either. Obviously, they were not easy to assemble. Just don't do it. If I could give this product less than a 1 star I would, in a flash.

After spending way too much on a table 🫤 I wanted to find some simple, nice looking chairs that didn’t break the bank, especially since I needed 12. These were $104 for a 2 pack. Assembly was pretty straightforward. They came packaged well for shipping and came 3 days after ordering, which was nice. All hardware was included- instruction were clear and easy. They’re pretty solid and actually pretty comfortable especially when co side ring the price point. My husband is a big guy (6’ 2” & 260lbs) and he’s able to sit in these just fine…no issues at all. So if you’re looking for something that’s ‘good enough 🤭) that will hold up and well and on a smaller scale, the. You’ll probably be happy with these. I put little glider stickers on the feet and now they easily slide/glide across the rug with no problem.

I ordered 4 of these dinner chairs and arrived 2 in each box.The assembled instructions were very clear to follow. I took about 40 minutes to assemble all 4 . I love the chairs but they are a little too low . I tall person might not be very comfortable sitting on it .But am not tall so I’m okay with it.See pictures below.Before order think of your table height.
