If you are talking about Verizon WIRED FiOS phone, then: Phone jack has to be plugged only into "FiOS ONT" -- black box with large power brick. This would plug into Ethernet port of the same ONT for FiOS INTERNET to enable Wifi as an alternative to VZ's white cylinder router.

It should, but why would you want a high performance router with a slow modem that has 20 year old technology? BTW, do NOT buy this for parental controls because they want $8 a month for the subscription when other routers have it built in
