EXCELLENT inexpensive watch.
This is one great watch. Because of its low price, I thought it might be cheap or silly looking, but I figured at this price, I'd try it. It's neither. I own a couple of dozen watches, including some close to high-end watches. This is now one of my favorite watches. It's comfortable to wear due to its light weight and velcro strap. With other watchbands you have only limited adjustments. I always find one hole too tight and the next one too loose. With this watch band, it's infinitely adjustable so it fits perfectly. And, unlike a lot of my watches, it's not only not heavy, it's positively lightweight. I barely even know its there. Compare that with some enormous watches that feel like tuna fish cans strapped to my wrist. I often wear watches that are 40mm wide or more, but this is one step smaller than that, and I'd forgotten how much more pleasant it is to wear a medium-sized watch. The dial is completely legible even at a moderate angle (not an extreme angle, though, since it's digital). It shows the time, the day of the week, and the date. Plus the seconds. Adjustment requires using the little booklet that came with it, but I think I almost have it memorized by now. It's similar to a Casio but a little more streamlined and just a little less "tech-y" looking. It looks rugged and purposeful, not silly at all. Some of my Casios make me look like a computer science major, and I definitely don't want that. It also has a light if you need it -- and maybe some other things I haven't discovered yet. And the price! Holy smokes! Where can you get a great watch that works well and is this lightweight and comfortable for this low a price? Not often. If you need a good, solid, reliable, comfortable, and good-looking watch, here it is.

Good quality and value
Bright face and easy to read. I love that the months and days show right on the face along with the time, so you don't have to toggle to find the date. Also you can set two different time zones, and the buttons are easy to manipulate. LED backlight is nice for night time where.

Good watch, but the band
I'm a pretty normal-sized woman (size 14, 5'8", size medium latex gloves, size med-large tshirts) but because of my bone structure I tend to look a bit silly in women's teeny-faced watches. I like a chunky watch- but sometimes a man's watch is a bit TOO chunky. And a women's buckle band is usually either too small or fits on the very last buckle, which isn't secure enough for me. I chose this- with a little trepidation- because it's described as "unisex" and has a Velcro design which makes the fit of the band more customizable. Let's start with the good stuff. The price can't be beat. I'm typically a Casio snob. I love them, from the pricey "Japan exclusive" ones to the mass-produced made in China ones. I haven't had one fail on me yet. But this one was even cheaper than my cheapest Casio. And I can remember my Nana claiming that Armitron was a good, reliable everyday watch band. She knew everything, so this tracks. It was ridiculously easy to set and easy to set the alarm. I had it done in less than five minutes. If you've ever owned another digital watch, you'll be able to figure it out. The display is big and uncluttered. It says the time and date. Nothing extra. I love the bright, retro colors of the watch, and I thought that having a Velcro band would be more comfortable than a plastic band. The problem is that the band isn't nearly long enough. I have a slightly large wrist for a woman- I guess equal to a man's small wrist, between 7.5-8"- and because there is a large rubber label on the end of the strap, that portion of the strap can't be bent into the buckle. I'm actually considering using a seam ripper to take it off for more sizing flexibility, even though I really love the way the yellow and teal "Armitron" label adds to the retro appearance. In the photos, you can see what I mean. There is no way to wear the watch looser than I have it, so if you have a bigger wrist, you're out of luck. I'm hoping that with some time, the band will stretch a little bit and become softer. I prefer a slightly looser watch fit- almost like a bracelet- and this watch looks like it's cutting off my circulation (it's not, it just looks that way). I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a good, basic digital watch at a great price- as long as the watch will fit your wrist.

Solid, reliable and a great price!
This is a fantastic watch! I'm really impressed with its durability and features. The nylon strap is comfortable and the hook-and-loop closure makes it easy to take on and off. The display is simple and easy to read, and all the functions like the chronograph and alarm work flawlessly. It's great for fitness and everyday wear. The backlight is bright and the 100m water resistance gives me peace of mind. A solid 5-star product!

Love this
Very sturdy. Love the two times option. Fits perfect. Holds in place. Water repellent. Wore this for training during basic. It did not fail me. Easy to use. Battery still going. Love the look.

Great work Watch
Basic watch that has 24hr time and the date on the same screen, Those and a cloth band is what I need in a watch that is gonna get beat up at work. This is my second one I have had.

Display could be better.
Good watch for the price, but display is crowded. For dates between 10 and 19, the 1 digit blends into the following number, for example 16 looks like a 6 and so forth. The seconds counter is placed right next to the date and is distracting. The velcro band is just right and easy to take the watch off and put it back on. Watch appears a bargain at $14, so I can live with what I see.
