I bought this to try semi hydro and my plants absolutely loved it! I started by putting my calatheas (known to be THE drama queens right?) and they settled pretty well immediately, stared giving me tons of new leaves, amazing chunky roots and no pests so far (it's been >6 months).

As described, but be careful when opening as bag will already be open and upside down in box when you open box.

Easy to use and so far plants seem to love it. I had to replant my piece lily, and usually these have a big old melt down when this is done but not this time, just waiting to see how they go over the next few months.

Always struggled with alocasias in the past. After a few attempts in soil, I tried Lechuza Pon and so far, I am seeing new growth which looks promising!

I was hesitant about transferring my plants into this medium but they seem to be doing well. I’m only part way through the journey of transitioning them from coir to pon so watering is still a bit of an anomaly. I’m watering them once a week which seems to be ok. I understand that you can grow seedlings in pon but I haven’t tried that yet. The downside is that the planters are a bit expensive, but the pin is reusable.

Helt fantastiskt att få levereras till dörr. Pon är perfekt för mi a självvattnande krukor. Synd att den inte gick att köpa fler gånger.

​Ho acquistato questo substrato Lechuza Pon con un obiettivo preciso: far germogliare tre semi di avocado, notoriamente sensibili ai ristagni e al marciume radicale se piantati nella classica terra. ​Come si può chiaramente vedere dalla sequenza fotografica che ho allegato (dalle prime radici fino allo sviluppo completo delle piante), il Pon si è rivelato un substrato miracoloso. ​Il mio consiglio per l'uso: per ottenere il massimo della gestione idrica, vi consiglio caldamente di abbinare questo substrato ai vasi Lechuza della linea Color. Questa accoppiata è eccezionale perché la struttura minerale del Pon fa da conduttore naturale per capillarità direttamente dal fondo del vaso, permettendo alle radici di assorbire l'umidità necessaria in totale autonomia e senza il bisogno di stoppini. ​I punti di forza riscontrati sul campo: ​Drenaggio e Ossigenazione: La struttura granulare e minerale non si compatta mai. Questo permette alle radici di respirare costantemente e all'acqua in eccesso di defluire, eliminando al 100% il rischio di muffe o marciumi. ​Nutrienti bilanciati: Essendo pre-fertilizzato, ha fornito ai germogli tutto il nutrimento necessario per i primi mesi, garantendo una crescita vigorosa e foglie di un verde intenso e sano. ​Pulizia e riutilizzo: Rispetto al terriccio tradizionale, non sporca, non attira i fastidiosi moscerini dei funghi ed è incredibilmente pulito da gestire in casa o sul balcone. ​Per chi ama la propagazione o ha piante delicate in casa, questo substrato non è solo un'alternativa alla terra, ma un vero e proprio upgrade prestazionale. Tengo decenas de plantas y hasta ahora he pasado unas 18 a Pon (previamente estaban en sustrato orgánico). De momento la experiencia es muy buena. Es el único medio en que han sobrevivido las alocasias. Algunas ventajas que veo: - No pudrición de raíz porque es un sustrato muy aireado y no te pasas con el riego. - El autorriego o reservorio es muy cómodo, sobretodo si tienes muchas plantas y te vas de vacaciones. La he utilizado con monsteras, singonios, pothos, alocasias, calatheas y de momento todas están muy contentas. Las fertilizo con fertilizante inorgánico líquido y muy diluido. Al principio la planta pasa por un periodo de adaptación que puede ser más o menos duro, pero en general después se recupera. Es un sustrato caro, pero construir un sustrato de calidad ( tierra+ perlita+ vermiculita+ fibra de coco etc etc etc) también lo es.
