I just wanted to address some of the one star reviews as I almost didn’t buy this because of them. This is a high quality, precise and well engineered cutter. The idea that it “isn’t capable of precision cuts” or other such criticisms is ridiculous. This is very precise and makes very clean, professional looking cuts. I’m using it for photographic paper, which is thick, and it has zero trouble making completely clean, straight cuts. I’m glad I didn’t let the poor reviews dissuade me. I figured it me made by a reputable German company and I got exactly what I hoped for.

I do a lot of scrapbooking and card making. So I do a lot of die cutting as well. I've used different craft paper cutters that always seem to need the blade replaced. This rotary trimmer however is very durable and I like the fact that the blade sharpens itself. It does very accurate cuts, works well and will cut five sheets of 92 lb cardstock. It is very easy to use. I also found the price to be very reasonable and a great value. I recommend this personal rotary trimmer for any Crafter.

This thing is amazing! It cuts just as precisely as I hoped it would. The blade is very sharp, and the body of the Trimmer is built very well, too, which is wonderful, but at the same time, the Trimmer is very light, too, which is great for caring around! Can't really complain TOO much about the price either. Definitely could have gotten it a little cheaper anywhere else, but this had the fastest shipping, and I needed it quickly. Which I got.

Great machine, although if you're trying to cut on a line on the paper, you'll have to manually move the paper a couple of millimeters to the right of the edge to eyeball where the blade will actually cut. You'll need practice to figure out where this phantom cut line is, and really good lighting. My cheaper trimmer did not have this problem.

I've used this cutter for quite awhile now and it's still going strong. It cuts through heavy cardstock with ease and the blade hasn't dulled at all. It's simple to use and works well for large and small cuts. I would definitely recommend purchasing this cutter.

I bought the Dahle 508 specifically for an event because I needed clean, precise cuts and wanted a "professional" brand I could trust. Given the price tag, I expected this trimmer to be a workhorse. Instead, it didn't even make it through a single afternoon of light use. The Issues: Cheap Build Quality: For something marketed as a "personal rotary trimmer," it feels incredibly flimsy. The plastic components feel brittle, and the "automatic clamping" feature is a joke—it barely holds a single sheet of paper in place, let alone the five sheets it claims to handle. Dull and Inaccurate: Despite the "self-sharpening" claim, the blade started dragging and tearing the paper halfway through my project. I wasn't even cutting heavy cardstock; just standard paper. By the end of the hour, the edges were jagged and looked unprofessional. Zero Durability: I paid a premium for this tool, and it’s already heading for the trash. A trimmer at this price point should last years, not hours. Bottom Line: Do not waste your money. You are paying for the brand name, but the performance is worse than a budget trimmer you'd find at a grocery store. It failed me when I needed it most, and I'm beyond frustrated with the lack of quality.

This unit works great for me. I had to buy this unit as my other unit will not trim 11 X 17 prints. It even cuts easily after i laminate the pics. very satisfied after about 50 11 X 17 prints. I will only use this unit for this size paper and keep my other trimmer for the smaller size prints. Nice compact size, and it looks great. I keep it in the box when not in use.

Acheté moins cher sur Amazone Warehouse, grâce sans doute à quelqu'un qui l'a renvoyé sans se poser de question après une déception... En effet TOUTES les rogneuses de cette références ont un problème d'assemblage qui fait que la lame est mal placée et donc ne coupe pas mais déchire le papier. Ce défaut se règle en moins de 30 secondes : on ouvre le levier rouge qui tient la barre de glissement verrouillée, on fait glisser la barre en arrière pour sortir la tête de coupe, un petit appui sur le ressort, on replace la lame à sa place, on remet la barre en place, on reverrouille avec le levier et paf, c'est réglé... et on se retrouve avec une rogneuse juste parfaite. Moins de 30 secondes... Donc merci à l'acheteur précédent grâce à qui j'ai pu acquérir cette excellente machine, neuve et moins cher.

This trimmers was above and beyond what I was expecting in terms of quality and performance. I've tried some of the less expensive trimmers but was unhappy with their inability to cut a clean edge in the card stock I was using, or with their flimsy design. The Dahle trimmer has heft to it and even after making thousands, if not tens of thousands of cuts, it still cuts as though it was brand new.
