Edit 3/6/25: Considering I am in a 7-week botanical course currently with a famous herbalist & acupuncturist citing how Mastic was mentioned by historical figures, like Dioscaredes (books available here on Amazon & elsewhere), I decided to up this from 3 to 5 stars while I reading monographs on Mastic. I have been using tiny broken off pieces of the "teardrop" resin every day. Even citing some jaw issues below, I am enjoying this. I can not speak for long-term benefits yet. I recommend you do your own research on resin medicine, like Mastic. Considering this is chewed, it is considered generally safe for MOST people & can help support oral/GI issues & general health for MOST people. Not everyone will like this & some may have issues or bad reactions to this or any other product they try. Original review: 3 stars for now. I might come back over time to edit if I see benefits or not. I recently saw some YouTube folks & articles discussing this for various issues & how it might help them. I decided to try it. I missed that it was a 25-gram package for less than $15. So the size surprised me right away. I do have some jaw issues, so I wasn't sure how great this would be for me, since I'm really not supposed to chew gum in the first place. I do enjoy a lot of pine-spruce-evergreen herbal teas & such, so I was intrigued if this would be a good flavor or maybe soapy or just a flat-out no. The piece I showed in my hand was easily broken off to try a small sliver. It was "just plain" at first, but then the slightly resinous pine flavor kicked in as I started to chew. For me, it is quite nice. I like it. I'm sure the flavor is not for everyone. This definitely should not be purchased on a "breath freshener" status alone. I was hoping that this would have some cross-over benefits like evergreen herbals do & maybe help a bit to strengthen my jaw muscles. As I type this up, it is getting a bit more difficult to chew. Reminds me of decades ago chewing gum in school & it just being quite rough after a few hours. My order was only delivered about 30 min ago, so there's no way this would last very long. In closing, I wanted to give this a whirl for my own issues I deal with daily & decide for myself it would be worth continuing to purchase in the future for long-term & occasional use.

This was an adventure purchase. After reading the book "Breath" by James Nestor, I was looking for some mastic gum or gum that gives the jaw a workout without any kind of real or artificial sugar. I purchased the Turkish gum Falim, unsweetened, and this Cerez Pazari Natural Greek Mastic Gum. I was intrigued by the all-natural mastic ingredient and what Hippocrates said about it as being medicinal. I found it difficult to chew so that's good. It's clean and attractive but has a lot of crumbled pieces -- not uniform pieces. The thing I couldn't tolerate nor did I expect was a residue that has coated the back of my throat and feels like up into my sinuses. It has a mild pine taste. Coupled with the residue it makes me think of pine tar that drips from trees and sticks to everything. I rated it 3 stars for value because it's a specialty product that you can't buy anywhere. I think it's high quality so if you are definitely sure you want this product, this is a good brand. I had to spit mine out after one minute. I'm not even going to try to like it. On the other hand the Falim gum, mint, sugarless is the way to go if you want jaw exercise without sugar. It has zero sugar, gives you a workout, and has no taste other than a slight mint flavor.

This is exactly what I wanted but BE WARY. Follow the instructions to a T. If you don't like the flavor of tree sap, don't get it. If you don't like getting a sore jaw, don't get it. It tastes lightly like pine tree sap and is difficult to chew, perfect for working out your jaw. Be careful to not put too much in your mouth at a time and be aware that it may separate kind of weird in your mouth occasionally. Also need to be careful not to bite the inside of your mouth, it's a difficult chew.

I got this natural mastic gum because I wanted a clean, sugar-free alternative to regular gum, and it’s definitely different. It’s just pure mastic resin with no artificial stuff, which I love. It starts off pretty hard but softens as you chew, and it feels much more substantial than normal gum. The flavor is earthy and slightly pine-like, not sweet or minty at all, so it might take a while to get used to. Some people mentioned it can taste a little bitter at first, the pieces aren’t always perfectly sized, and it can stick to your teeth if you’re not careful; which is all true but honestly too bad. That said, I do like it for the natural ingredients and even for jaw exercise or digestive support. Overall I would say its a good option if you want something natural - but don’t expect it to be like regular chewing gum.

here is how I feel about it. Pros: It's a fairly neutral flavor, but it does have some and it's not bad. It's a tree resin so obviously, it's gonna kinda taste like a tree. It lasts a long time, longer than stuff like Xylitol gum, where the flavor disappears after 2 minutes, this stuff retains what little flavor it has everytime you chew it. I don't feel like I need to spit it out (actually I swallow this for gut health) like I do with flavored Xylitol gum because it tastes so bad once the flavor is gone. Its chewy, helps my teeth, keeps me healthy. Cons: it's too little, you barely get enough for more than a few days for the cost it's just ridiculous. I understand this is probably not easy to get, but holy heck, you can get 3 packages of Xylitol gum for cheaper than this. To me this is the only major con it has, there really just needs to be more gum inside. Overall, I will likely buy Mastic Gum again, but maybe not this brand, or just something that has well...more inside.

This gum really stuck in my teeth so I had to chew very hard to get it back out. There is almost no taste to it, just like chewing a pure plain gum. No taste no scent. I saw a slight jaw difference, I believe I would have if used very consistently.

This gum was not chewable. It arrived as a solid, sticky blob inside the packaging. I broke off a piece to chew it and it is not gum. It is a sticky resin that coats your teeth and wont come off for hours. It wasn't "chewable" at all like gum should be. The flavor is basically pine tree.

I’ve chewed gum all my life but recently became concerned about the plastics and chemicals I've read are in most mainstream brands. That led me to try Cerez Pazari natural gum. The first surprise was the size of the package. At only 25 grams, it’s tiny - about the size of a small computer mouse and very thin. I probably should have paid closer attention to the description, but it still caught me off guard. After debating whether to return it, I decided to give it a shot. The instructions were unusual: store it in the fridge, and when chewing, start with your front teeth before moving to your molars. I followed the directions, and after about 15 minutes my jaw was getting tired. It’s definitely a workout. The gum does expand a bit as you chew, which helps offset the small package size, but the flavor was underwhelming. There’s only the faintest pine-like taste, and the texture feels like gum you’ve already been chewing way way too long - but only even tougher. I can’t say this product is for me. Maybe it appeals to people looking for a completely natural gum and who want to strengthen their jaw muscles. But personally, I won’t be buying it again.
