Fantastic magnetic scraper
This product works great, and is very powerful yet safe against scratches. For instance I have 1/4” glass on my fish tank and so I got the flipper nano float first from there size recommendation chart. It worked well at the beginning, but I left for a week and found out that even the scraper wouldn’t get some of the algae that had built up, and ended up scraping the tank by hand with my cheap Walmart scraper after I was spending too much time going extremely slow and still not being able to take off most of algae. My tank looked terrible. Let me tell you, this device has a slightly sharp scraper with well rounded edges and a plastic scraper on the back. It pushes so hard on the glass that it scrapes better than I could ever get at full arms length with a card style scraper and all without getting my hands wet. It even took off what the flipper nano’s metal blade wouldn’t with the plastic one on the back of this thing. Pros: built very well, cheap blades, comes with float, size (can clean three of my panes in just a minute or so) Cons: size (takes up viewing space if left in tank I have a 55g and take mine out between uses), magnets are so strong you could break your glass if you don’t introduce the two halves at some distance and bring them together without accidentally letting go, blade doesn’t go all the way to the edge (I think so you don’t cut your silicone in the corners, and definitely worth having) this makes getting the lowest corner areas just a little bit tricky but you can get 99.9% of the glass.

Works great
For a magnetic scraper I would highly recommend this one. It did a really good job of removing hard crusted on algae with very little effort.

Awesome!
I literally just received this a few minutes ago. I have a 55 gallon freshwater tank and after hours of research into algae scrapers, yes, I research everything, I settled in the Tunze Care Magnet Long. I had a Mag-Float that served me well for about 20 years, but lost it in a recent move. I bought a cheap one on Amazon but it was complete garbage. The choice came down to the Long and Nano because of glass thickness. The glass on my tank is about 5mm/1/4" thick (Aqueon tank from Petco) and I read reviews from people who said the Long magnet was way too strong for the thinner glass. I figured I could return it if it doesn't work out. But no, this thing is perfectly fine on this glass. I was able to clean the algae within a few minutes with the plastic blades that came installed. Every swipe cleared the glass. No scrubbing like the other magnets. It cornered perfectly and didn't slam back together. It feels very strong when you have both halves in your hands, but it didn't make a sound when it flipped across the corners. Remember, the scraper magnet doesn't touch the glass, only the scapers. I wish it had an extension so I could get the back glass.

Not sure why it says lonf
Does a great job as a scraper. Easy to use. Nothing “long” about it though. Not sure if we didn’t receive that part it fits in your hand

Amazing scraper. Buy this!
I had some kind of black hair algae in a neglected tank. The only thing that would get it off was a windshield scraper that has a razor blade on the end of it. So I would have to reach in and the tank was large, so it reached all the way up to my shoulder, I still couldn’t reach the bottom. I tried Another highly recommended brand and it would hit the algae and come loose and float to the surface. I put this thing in with the metal blade and after about three or four swipes over the algae it came off. this one costs more but you get what you pay for. It produces. Highly. Highly recommended.

Erases algae off my aquarium walls
Using on my glass aquarium. The algae simply floats away with one simple swipe. Very well designed and better than any magnetic scraper I've used. Easy to clean as well.

Awesome product, pay attention to your glass thickness
It's awesome. I think that it's not really fits up to 15mm. I'm with 10mm and it's just right. I feel like with 12 it was already much less effective

This thing is a beast!!
Excellent cleaning results. Had built up algae on my aquarium glass. This thing chewed right thru it. Even worked on my bow front. Just had to go sideways.
