Rope Ratchet 3/8 Block and Tackle Pulley, Braided Polypropylene Rope 15 ft

I’ve been using rope ratchets for 30 years! They are the best tie down I’ve ever used! In fact they are so good that everyone who uses mine likes them so much I never get them back. This is about the 10th one I’ve bought! Now I do have to admit, they haven’t all been stolen from me. Some people “lost” them. Others borrowed and never gave them back, and some people offered to buy them from me. Whenever I have been without, I’ve tried other ratchet ties, but I always come back to rope ratchets. The thing that first drew me to them is that if you ever need a longer rope, you can easily swap out the one that comes with it for pretty much any rope laying around the house. Not as many people have webbing just laying around the house, like the other ratchet ties use. Now some will say you can’t crank down on rope ratchets to get them as tight as the other ratchet ties. That may be true, but with just using my muscles and tightening any slack in the rope I’ve never had a problem loosing a load. I can’t say the same from the other ratchet ties where the webbing has slipped out, if it’s not put in correctly, endangering not only the load but everyone’s safety as well. Ratchet ties have also jammed on me and locked up, and more often than not just frustrate me. But not the rope ratchet. It’s easy and dependable every time. Rope ratchets come in different sizes and load bearing capacities. I’ve tried some of the others, but this size is ideal for me. I’d recommend this to everyone. I don’t even have a truck anymore, but I still come up with lots of reasons to use rope ratchets, like quickly tying up piles of branches from my orchard to drag away.

I bought two to help tie down items in my pickup or trailer. I use them once or twice a week and they do the job. They always work properly and never loosen up. Reliability is critical when managing loads. The S-hooks are substantial and the gear/ratchet/pawl always work smoothly. A friend watched me use mine and bought some for himself. I plan to buy more.

Works good for securing

Came in handy for a special project. Sheathing the walls of my shop building with 7/16" OSB. Walls are 12' high so I was unsure about how I would get the sheets to the top working by myself. Had the idea to purchase this product and very glad I did. The OSB sheets weight approximately 55 pound each, well within the working range of this tool. Built a simple brace to fit between the trusses and hooked the pulley to it. Hoisted up the sheets with no problem and seemed safer that it would have been with two men and two ladders. It might hold the stated weight but it would not lift it.

Exceeded my expectations. Used as a tie down on patio umbrella on top floor of my bldg. Have a total of 4 rope ratchets. Solid construction.

Works great. I wouldn't use it to lift anything heavier than a tire on a rim which is what i use it for. Saves my back and shoulder from carrying the wheel up the ladder to the tire rack. A brake on the release would be good for lowering heavy items and avoiding rope burn.

I bought two rope ratchets to stabilize our deck umbrella. They are very easy to use, aesthetically don't look bad, and (most importantly) do the job very well. I'm considering buying a few more for use when we travel to tie things down on our vehicles.

I use mine to put tires on racks at top of garage. This one isn't strong enough to hoist the wheel without lifting the load a bit but it feel very secure while I am on a ladder putting wheels up or down.

Works great. Easy lifting my 65 lb ebike with 1 hand but it would be nice if it had a ratchet to hold a position.
