Bought this for my 12 y/o son for Xmas and he finally had a chance to try it out this weekend when we went camping and hopped on the bikes to ride from lake to lake. He said he loves it, felt sturdy, had a nice cast action, and he preferred it to his (older, shorter) traditional 2 piece rod. Definitely a good rod for an adventurous kiddo who likes to venture into the backcountry to go fishing and needs to pack their pole with them.

Bought for trout and crappie fishing. No problems

It is very light weight. Wish it came with a bag or so.e type of protection for packing. The tip cover will be easy to loose. Haven't used it yet but when I do I'll submit my experience. I've been fishing for over 25 years and camping/hiking for the same. Over all from. What I've got right here I'm excited to try it out! Sturdy grip. Reel seems well built. Pole has me a little worried with the tip being g fragile and not well protected. But I'll have something for that soon

Love my pole worth geting

This is my second Zebco product. I previously bought a dock demon last year for a camping trip that performed well but I didn’t have any luck catching fish. It also broke in my car less than a month after the trip. I bought the Roam for this years trip and it performed flawlessly. Setting it up was a breeze. It casts farther than the dock demon and I caught over a dozen fish casually casting throughout a couple days. The line green is fun and helps stick out. Seems to be very sturdy and well built. Line never tangled. Very comfortable in the hand. The only knock is that for $50 I think a carrying case should be included but at the same time… $50 is that bad for a rod/reel combo. The included line got the job done. I will leave it in my car for the remainder of the fall and will update if anything crazy happens.

It does look like a quality item, and I really wanted it to work. It is either defective, or a really bad design otherwise. Line doesn't come out of it easy and smooth, and keeps cutting al my casts almost by half. Sometimes line won't even retract under push and release if the button with decent weight. But is does look and feel like a quality product and while the spincast is giving me problems, the spinning version of this same rod is SIMPLY AMAZING, so if you're looking for a great value maybe go for the spinning type.

Espetacular, gostei muito

Looks good, it's strong and lightweight, won't break easily. I used it for coarse fishing, the reel is very good too.

It broke very quickly

Top section of the rod is jammed so this “travel” rod is essentially useless since I can’t travel with it. 🙄
