No you only need to attach legs and bar. However once it’s open it’s very hard to fold

Hey I am 225lb 6'1" and I wear a size 12 and there is plenty of room on the 40" to get my bounce on. I mainly bought this for my daughter but it's plenty big for me to do some aerobic exer-bouncing.

I never fold mine but dire3ctions came with the trampoline. You might try turning it on its side. I did that with a previous trampolin
