HH Women's Belfast Insulated Winter Rain Coat Jacket

I wore this jacket on my trip to Norway and Sweden last November. It rained for 3 days while I was in Oslo and the jacket kept me perfectly dry. I even wore up to the Arctic circle in Tromsø, Norway where it kept me surprisingly warm. The jacket looks and fits great and is a good value for the money being spent. At the time, I weighed 165 and I purchased a large.

This is a great jacket. Fit is great and just perfect for a fall visit to Iceland during the rainy season. Lining is warm yet lightweight and non-bulky. I first ordered a 4XL but it was very roomy. The 2XL is perfect for a 5'5' mature woman usually wearing a size 14-16.Addendum: l lived in this coat for two weeks. It is the "perfect" coat for wet, windy, 30+ weather. At 5'4" the coat hit just about 3" above the knee keeping most of my legs dry while allowing plenty of room for hiking. Hood cinched down and neck zips up above the chin to keep the rain and wind out. The style of the coat is also nice for city wear. I machine washed and dried and it looks like new!!

HH is a terrific brand that knows how to make a well-made and stylish coat. This jacket is the perfect length, style, warmth and color for spring rainy season, weather traveling or home. I especially like the amount of lining, how high up you can zip the jacket and the fit of the hood. You can actually go without an umbrella and see out! The M fits great.

I'm very impressed with the fit and quality of this coat. It's flattering because it hugs your curves and yet it's also functional - thick, warm, and long enough to keep you dry. I haven't tried it out yet but it looks like it would repel hard rains. I got an XS and it fit me well, with the minor exception of the sleeves. I do like that there's a little extra room in them so I can wear a multiple layers. BUT they are also a little long when my hands are by my sides. I rolled them up once and now they're perfect. I'm petite (5'2") so this happens now and then with long sleeved things.

Helly Hansen makes excellent rainwear. I was so excited to see this on Amazon because I had purchased the unlined version years ago at Nordstrom and love it. I had always wished I had an insulated version. And here it is! This is the perfect travel coat for many destinations because it is warm and waterproof but still comfortable because it is not encased in rubber like a slicker. It is perfect for rainy spring, fall, and even mild winter days. Order one size up.

I was impressed with quality of the material and styling but I had to return the coat because the main zipper would not work on the second try. Thank heavens I was not on my trip to Iceland when this happened. I did re-order to see if perhaps I got a dud and will repost.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could! Super grateful to find one in like new condition for $75 on an Amazon warehouse deal. I have one of the Helly Hansen crew jackets that has served me well, but I wanted a longer coat for more coverage in colder weather. These jackets are surprisingly warm, light, durable and easy to wash. I was torn between the Aden and Belfast styles and ended up keeping the Belfast. I like the outer small pocket, better quality zipper and warm lined hood. Both styles are very fitted though, so I recommend sizing up. I typically wear an XS-S or size 2-4 in women’s clothes, and I ended up going with a size large, so I’d have plenty of room to layer with my heavy wool sweaters in the cold weather. Highly recommended!

This is a very nice jacket but I ended up sending it back in favor of the Helly Hansen insulated Aden Rain jacket.The two are similar but this Belfast jacket is a tad bulkier and the ultra white zippers on the front were not attractive in my opinion. Both jackets fit true to size in my opinion. I am typically a size small, 5'5" 34C, ladies size 2. I purchased a size Medium so that I could comfortably layer this over thick sweaters or sweatshirts. (this is how I tried it on, with a thick sweatshirt) I had plenty of room to add a scarf and move my arms and shoulders freely while all zippered up. The rain hood provides nice coverage and does not fall off. If the zipper color does not bother you, I t think this is a great jacket!
