Furniture Murphy Cabinet Bed with Mattress, Cherry, Queen

First, the product assembly is not difficult but it does require two people to accomplish safely and without risk to the furniture so just be aware of that. Second, I think this is a very well designed, high quality product that is both an attractive piece of furniture when not in use as a bed and very comfortable when it is being used as a bed. Additionally, the conversion back and forth between bed and furniture is pretty effortless. Now the delivery was a bit of an issue and I want to be clear that both Amazon and their delivery service Ceva, were great to work with in trying to resolve this. My issue is that living in a less populated area in Maine, the delivery was handed off to a 3rd party carrier (PAF) who showed up a day before scheduled, did not call ahead of time as promised, and then refused to bring the carton around the house to the back entrance which is the only access point to get this large piece of furniture into our house. I explained that this has been paid for and agreed to at time of purchase, spoke to a supervisor, and offered myself to help move it to the back entrance; all to no avail. I then asked to use their hand dolly to do it myself and was refused. I postponed the acceptance of the furniture to call Ceva and then Amazon. Ceva was great and made an attempt to have the contractor honor the delivery agreement but the company did not budge. Amazon then issued me a credit to allow for the rental of a hand dolly so that when the furniture was delivered the next day, I was able to move the boxes down by myself so I am comfortable with the final resolution but displeased with the 3rd party carrier who I feel were unprofessional and offered poor customer service. The point being that if you happen to have any unusual delivery requirements or restrictions, they need to be resolved prior to delivery as some sub contracted carrier will not honor the delivery agreement. All in all, knowing ahead of time I'd have to deal with the delivery headache, I'd do it again. We're thrilled with the purchase.

The cabinet bed is well made using premium materials. It is a good-looking piece of furniture. Set-up was simple with two people. I did most of the set-up alone, and accomplished the few moves of heavy parts with my wife's help. It is easy to open and close and is much more comfortable than the futon it replaced. My cabinet bed arrived with some minor shipping damage and the seller quickly offered several generous solutions to the problem. Problem happily solved. This bed and seller are highly recommended!

I LOVE this credenza style Murphy Bed. It is very well constructed and nicely finished. It was easy to put together.I opted for the up-graded gel foam mattress with a cover and definitely recommend spending the additional money for this.This is in my home office. 90% of the time, the room will be used as an office so not having a bed take up space is important. This was less than 1/2 the price of a standard wall mounted Murphy Bed.It is easy to open the unit up for sleeping and equally easy to close it back up again.Mattress is exact queen size dimensions and is firm and comfortable...but again, I did buy the up-graded mattress.Love, love, love this.

We have been wanting to remodel our guest room for quite sometime now, but couldn’t decide what ideas to move forward with. We went into this project knowing we still needed the guest room as an exercise room the majority of the year. We did not want a full or queen bed in there full time. We have guests about 3-4 times a year for a about a week at a time and the air mattress wasn’t cutting it any more.We highly recommend this Murphy bed!! This is by far a top quality “furniture” unit. Our Amazon purchase was through Creative Furniture Designs and I’m so glad we made that decision. Delivery was on-time and even arrived earlier than we expected. I ordered this unit on the 9th, it shipped on the 13th and arrived on the 20th! Beverlee was incredibly responsive by email and texts and we couldn’t be happier.Important/please note: The unit is very heavy. It is shipped on a pallet and will be placed on your driveway or sidewalk. You may want to request inside delivery or some other service to get the unit inside your home to the room of choice, ESPECIALLY if you have stairs. You definitely need two very strong people if you don’t have it brought inside by the shipping company or service. Also, you will need two people to lift the pieces and put the cabinet together once in the room. Assembly was straightforward.Quality unit! Quality construction!! Quality wood!!!! Quality mattress!!!!We highly recommend this unit and can’t wait for our guests coming in June to try it out!

I thought I would have to assemble this thing piece by piece (which I was alright with) and I had the delivery man leave it downstairs so I could build it in the upstairs room bringing up the pieces. After he left I opened the box fully and found out the furniture comes pre-assembled... (Mattress comes in a separate box vacuum sealed)So now I had no one to help me carry this pre-assembled 400lb box up the stairs. I called a friend and waited for him to help me bring the whole package up my narrow staircase, and once we finally got it to the top, I was able to add the bottom platform section that was inside of the furniture.All in all it works great, and it’s super convenient for saving space. Better than a Murphy bed in my opinion.The cons are that it only has enough space for their folded mattress, which I’ll admit is pretty firm, so I added a mattress topper that makes the bed perfect, but I have to take off the topper and blankets to store it away.The drawer works good for like 2-4 pillows, and the outlet works perfect.One of the latches came broken and I found a few paint scuffs but all in all this is a great piece of furniture. I just wish I knew it came pre-assembled.

Love this bed. First, I have to commend the packaging. This bed was so well wrapped and packed that it would have taken an act of God to damage it. It’s beautiful. It wasn’t difficult to assemble, but I find the video misleading: as a woman, I like that the video features two women setting it up, but wow, it’s heavy! I didn’t have the strength to help my husband set it up. Fortunately, his sister did! This bed is solid wood and heavy. But the setup isn’t complicated, and once it’s done, it’s easy to make up. Like others, I bought a thick foam mattress topper for it (about 1 3/4”), and our guests found it very comfortable. It’s attractive and perfect for our small guest room, so that it can be more functional.

We love it! The wood is beautiful and has a nice polished look!Assembly from the shipping box takes 30 or 40 minutes for 2 people. Opening it up for guests takes 30 seconds for 1 person. The bed is very comfortable.In our TV/ Entertainment room it is now the TV stand for our 55" tv! This model of Murphy bed, the tv gets to stay on top.

First - I ordered this from Spencer's because they could deliver weeks earlier than Amazon and had great reviews. Now I know why! Delivery contacted me immediately to arrange a shipping time, but when that date came, the bed hadn't arrived as promised. I reached out to Spenser's and they were on it immediately! They contacted the shipper and found out what went wrong. They arranged for delivery when it was convenient for me and they discounted the product for the inconvenience the delivery problem caused. I couldn't be happier with their customer service!Second - this cabinet bed is high quality - Solid wood, well made and easy to put together! My husband and I put it together in less than 30 minutes. The mattress is amazingly comfortable as well. We read all the reviews but wondered how something like this (only 6" thick) would be comfortable. But it truly is! This allows us to use a spare bedroom in a small house for something other than "just a guest room." If you are looking for a solution to let guests say in your home comfortably, but have limited room to have a traditional full size bed - buy this now!

This bed was perfect. We have had guests stay on it and they say it was just right - not too hard or too soft.Our only problem was the delivery company who were very slow to deliver.
