Our small freezer gets unplugged without our noticing. (Probably when moving it for mopping.). Will this product prevent that from happening again??

The purpose of this cover is to protect against weather. In my opinion any pressure the cover exerts on the cord that would prevent the pulling out of the cord would be minimal. However, if you were to put a clamp on the cord inside the cover just above the bottom of it that would prevent the cord from being pulled out.

Is it against the code to use this indoors? I don't want to have issues down the road when selling the house.

I wouldn't think so but you could always buy a regular indoor cover for about a $1 and keep in a drawer. Then if someone says something, it would take about 2 minutes to take this one off and throw the other one on there. The main purpose of this cover is to protect from water. If you just want to be able to lock the outlet, there are other options that would be more flush to the wall.

Will the translucent plastic yellow over time?

How does one prevent insects (wasps, etc.) from entering the cord holes and creating nests, etc.?
