Easy to understand
A very helpful walkthrough of ABGs that I wish I’d read during nursing school. Worth a read if you work at bedside. It’s helped me understand what I’m looking at in relation to symptoms and/or compensation in my patients. Decided to read this after struggling with PCCN exam practice, thankfully I’m not scared of ABG questions anymore 😊

GREAT Resource!
This was a very educational and informative read for me! A lot of information I was already aware of because of my occupation, but so much of it was definitely new to take in. Loved it!

Solid discussion of complex problems
I am a NICU nurse and part of my job is obtaining ABG, VBG and cap blood gases - and understanding what they mean for my patient! This book has a conversational tone which makes it easy to read (versus being “dry”) and covers all the good stuff - partial pressures, V/Q ratios, metabolic concerns, etc.

Good content
As a nursing student, there are so many resources out there it’s hard to know what’s worth your time and what’s not. For me, I need something easy to understand and right to the point. I feel that these books are exactly that.

A Nurse's text/guidebook
This is a book covering Arterial Blood Gases - a form of medical lab work that nurses have to do on occasion. This guide goes through all the procedures and terminology related to this specific lab work. I don't work in that field myself but it's not hard to see where this would be useful. Frankly, I didn't think you'd be able to get this on Amazon - even though it makes perfect sense for an online bookstore to stock textbooks...maybe I'm too used to seeing fiction. Anyways, if this is something you need or you're interested/curious then take a look at it; you may learn something interesting.
