I have a Weber brand chimney; just a little bit of newspaper and my coals were hot in less than 30 min! No lighter fluid needed.

How much charcoal will it hold?

Mine holds up to 5lbs of charcoal, looks like 3 to 4 liters worth. Its more than enough for most standard grills. FYI- I love this chimney! Starts fast and easy every time. No starter fluid needed, just a little newspaper, and whoosh! It's magical for under $10.
