Update below.⏬Ok so I’m not happy that right out of the box it did not Work. Put brand new 9 volt battery in. But the contacts would not work. The space was to big to hold the 9 volt battery in place and it would move inside from up down to sideways . I put a rubber stopper in the cap to hold the battery in place. It worked. Bummer I had to do that .... cuz overall it was easy to use and was accurate. Yet to put it to the test under 💦 water. So I would have given a 5 star but it did not work out of the box . Disappointment since I was with my niece’s and nephew who I took out to have fun. 🆙 date! Right now I’m impressed with this company. Remember this name Sakobs. They sent me an email so that I could receive a new pin pointer and that’s exactly what they did. With a battery... and guess what, worked right out of the box. This pin pointer does what it says. It has helped me save time when digging for treasure. And worked flawlessly underwater. I am going to have to give a 5 ⭐️ rating.. for outstanding customer service and a device that works and is easy to use. Plus it came with a treasure bag and belt holder. I will be buying from this company again. I’m so impressed with the integrity and quality of this company. Sakobs thank you for making my purchase right. And for you reaching out to me. I will update again when I go snorkeling in the Summer for fishing gear:) Love Love Love. I cant tell you the punishment I’ve put this through and it’s still working. I love this pin pointer! Again thank you for your service and great product! Just another update 10/2024 This is in my opinion the best. Still working. Has not quit on me yet. River snorkeling beach or just digging and pin pointing. I love this company and the way they treated me. I’m sure this company will be around forever.

Does what it says it will do. No issues. Easy to use.

Do yall ever buy stuff just because you just know you will be a metal detectorist one day? Maybe its just me. But this little handy guy is an awesome and very useful addition the the metal detector. Being able to pin point an object is so nice. If you own a metal detector, you should own one of these for sure.

Docs mention a wrist strap which does not exist. Lanyard relies on a couple of very weak connections which fell apart in multiple places on first use. Holster fastens to belt 'upside down' or if right-side up then it relies on a weak snap which easily disconnects; will simply sew shut & thread belt through instead. Lanyard will be replaced/rebuilt with better parts I'll find. The device itself works great!

Works the way it should. For the negative comments, this is NOT a metal detector. This is a pinpointer, a tool for metal detecting. A metal detector is used for large areas. This "pinpointer" is used after the metal detector finds an object. After digging a hole where an object has been found, this tool is used to pinpoint object to prevent from having to sift through the dirt if the object is small like a coin or ring. That's the purpose of this. I see some people use it for creative reasons, but it is not to go into a big field to treasure hunt. That job is for a metal detector. The pinpointer narrows it down. Sorry for the rambling, but had to get that out. Some of these comments are ridiculous

For the money... this saved my wife's christmas. I bought her a $200 pendant with our kids birthstones and it got lost in the wrapping garbage. Luckily we missed the garbage truck the day after and I sifted through 3 bags of garbage and this metal detector found it with precision! We are so thankful and impressed. This will come in handy while fossil hunting or trips to the beach too!

This pin pointer works great

I purchased this pinpointer 4 months ago & it stopped working; it will turn on but the pinpointer tip will no longer detect. (I even use a rubber protective tip so no damage) I’ve tried contacting customer service a couple times & never heard back. Wasted money after only 4 months of lighter use.

Advertisement says it sad detect object like 4.5 inches.. what I got only can detect 2 inches.. looking for something that can do 3 inches or more.
