Easy to assemble and very sturdy looks great for money

I’ve ordered mercer’s furniture before and so wanted the desk for my daughter to complete the collection. The desk itself is very well made and my partner was able to put it together within a couple of hours, instructions were easy to follow and it looks great, I am very pleased with it. It’s lost a star because the courier used to deliver it (APC) caused no end of issues delivering it. From delivering it on a different day to when they promised, (so had to rearrange delivery) to the courier depot being unable to locate the parcel (or the driver) - it eventually arriving broken and in pieces, mercer’s furniture ordered a replacement to be sent only for the courier to claim they tried to deliver the replacement when they didn’t - we were sitting in all day waiting for it. The courier promised he would be back later that day but didn’t bother. On the fourth attempt it arrived unscathed, we were even able to track the delivery driver this time so could tell when it was being delivered on the last occasion. However it’s taken almost 3 weeks to get here on a “next day service” so was quite frustrating for us but realise this wasn’t mercer’s fault directly. I’ve never experienced so many issues with a courier! I was in communication with mercer’s furniture the whole time and although I expressed my annoyance to them of having to waste days off work waiting in for courier to not arrive / deliver a broken parcel they were very good at resolving the issues and sending a replacement quickly.l with no argument. The product itself is great and really goes well with the other mercer’s furniture we have, it’s taken a while to get here but I’m glad we got it in the end. Good value for money, a nice sturdy piece.

Really good value , wanted to build an alcove desk and wood’s not cheap. This was the perfect starting point . I didn’t put it together as intended (put drawers to right-hand side, reduced width a smidge, changed handles,painted it) but quality is good. Nice little desk.

Nice sturdy piece of furniture. Not difficult to construct. Took about an hour to assemble. Looks good. Looks more expensive than it is.

Don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise I have built many furniture pieces I’ve lost count, this is the worst bit of furniture I’ve ever come across, there is no guidance whatsoever. The holes are not correctly marked screws are missing. The whole thing is a joke it’s only good for firewood in my opinion. If you want to buy it go ahead I am warning you it is rubbish.
