First one did not work!
First one did not work, It was not Packed securely and was damaged. The second one is working flawlessly. The remote control controls every aspect of the unit which is convenient. Has a very good picture and sound. Works on batteries for sometime and is Rechargeable.

Lower quality, but lower price
After the first arrived DOA, Amazon conveniently replaced it for free. The second DVD player works fine, but the Magnavox MTFT754 has several shortcomings. First, the sound is underwhelming. I have not used it in a vehicle, but I question whether it would produce enough sound during some quieter films to hear over road noise. Second, this DVD player doesn't feel very durable, but rather cheaply manufactured. Third, the picture quality is not fantastic. Granted, most people don't buy a portable DVD player to have friends over to watch a football championship, but it's still worth noting. Finally, the motor in the DVD player itself is noisy. I stopped noticing it much once a movie started, but it was annoying at first. This Magnavox does have some good points, though. It comes with both a car charger and a wall charger, and it can run on battery power. It also has a decent remote control, which certainly beats trying to navigate a menu via the buttons on the device. It includes USB and SD card support (neither of which I have tried). Overall, it's worth it if you need a cheap DVD player for the kids on a long road trip, but you get what you pay for, and maybe a little less with this device.

Sound and picture
This has such a good sound to it plus the picture on watching a DVD is so clear.

Do Not Buy
Is constantly needing fixes of some sort. I owned the 9" screen for years. It worked great until it stopped working altogether. My only conplaibt with that model was that you had to crank the volume to full volune at tines to hesr it. Ironically, this model is so loud that the lowest setting is to loud. When watching using headsets, I have to move them off my ears, resting them above on my temples because the lowest setting is so loud. Have had problems with this model right away. I would have returned it but I recycled it's box not realizing that it doesn't compare to the 9" model. In addition, the side where chords p,ug in is underneath an overhang. You cant see the markings from the side. You have to pick it up to look under the overhang Every Time You Ude It to find the correct slots for different chords. I'm taking it to our household hazardous waste recycling because I dont want anyone else to desl with the frustration if it were donated.

Is okay.
All is well except the volume is too high and cannot be lowered. I will accept it as ts, but not too happy about the volume.

Grinds and Rattles
I really wanted to like this DVD player, but the more I use it, the less I like it. The player rattles and grinds incessantly while a disc is playing. Sometimes it's so loud that I can hear it while wearing earbuds. And without earbuds/headphones the audio can hardly be heard over the speakers, even when the volume is at maximum (level 20). Unlike other players I've owned, this one has no low battery warning. The screen just goes black when the battery dies, which is annoying. Also, the ON/OFF switch is located in a narrow recessed area on the side of the unit which, for me, is awkward to access. Wouldn't buy this one again.
