Best Air Purifier and Affordable for Bedrooms
One of the essentials in my room so far. Its pretty quiet and effective, I've noticed that I have less sinus problems when sleeping and waking up during the winter. Right now, I'm writing this review as I'm about to order a filter replacement for it. It has lasted over a year and its very easy to clean but now the odor light is on and needs replacing. Odor wise, it keeps my room clean from allergens and dust and smell despite having a scented night light.

Quiet and Effective
We recently moved to the city into a tiny apartment with a large dog that sheds heavily. I don't usually have allergies but noticed that I started sneezing a ton more in this new living situation. I did a bit of research on air purifiers and settled on this one primarily because of the price and the way it looks. I wanted something that was visually unobtrusive. I have been very happy with how this purifier has worked out for us. We've definitely notices an improvement in the air quality in our apartment. It has eliminated all of the sneezing I was experiencing. It is quiet in it's low and medium settings, and sounds like a fan on the highest setting. I leave it on auto mode and it really only kicks into high gear when the dog lays on her bed (right next to the purifier) or when we're cooking. It seems to be very sensitive to increased air pollution and adjusts the speed responsively. The pre-filter works really well. I'm a bit appalled by how gross it gets, but it's nice to see that it is, indeed, filtering small particles out of the air. I give it a quick wipe with a wet cloth once a week, very easy and convenient to clean. Worth the cost, very happy with this purchase.

Amazing!
This is my third brand of air purifier I have purchased. I got these two on a Black Friday deal! I love these things so much. They are an absolute BREEZE to clean. You just vacuum out the prefilter every two weeks (or rinse it if it gets too gross) Filter replacement is easy peasy! You do have to buy a deodorizing filter every six months and a HEPA filter every year per the instruction manual. But you can buy a multipack of them for cost savings (the one I bought will last at least two years if I change the filters on time-I am a little bit of a procrastinator though I admit) The best part of these is that they are really responsive to the purifying needs of the room! Once I was dusting above it and it sensed the dust and went full power on its own! I was floored. It has an indicator light that shows you what your current air quality is. I’m amazed. And our allergies have improved so much since I started using them.

Good, but could be slightly better
TL;DR Pros: -Quiet -Relatively small -Looks good (personal opinion) -Relatively inexpensive Cons: -Needs better documentation -Missing second charcoal foam filter -Missing any sort of convenient handle -Not suitable for large rooms/spaces Detailed Review: I have one of the AirMega AP-1512 (now replaced by the almost identical 200M). My choice in selecting and procuring that model was down to all the great reviews that compared the performance, power consumption, cost to buy, and cost to own of several of the top performing and popular brands on the market. There were others that outperformed the Coway, but not enough to be significant, and none were as cheap to procure and own (the running costs of the Coway were hands down less than any other brand). Having a great experience with the AP-1512, I decided to try the new 150 model to use in a smaller room (my 10’ x 10’ office), and because being confined to my house for the past year has more dust being created were I sit and work all day. My first impressions were good. The 150 seems to be well built and has familiar features and layout to the older unit I have been using for years. One thing I notice immediately when I was unboxing the unit was that it only comes with a single charcoal foam filter, which is supposed to be changed out after 6 months, but the HEPA filter is at 1 year. This means I either have to use the foam filter for a full year or replace the HEPA filter early. I wish it would have come with 2 of the foam filters as you would get in a filter replacement pack. Outside of missing one foam filter to make it through a year (and you can only by the replacement filters as a set and not individual components), the unit is also missing any sort of convenient handle to pick up and move it (the AP-1512 has a handle on it). After getting all the wrapping and tape off, the filters installed, and plugged into power, it fired right up and started working in Auto mode. The first thing I noticed is how quiet it is, but also how gentle the air flow is (meaning it isn’t flowing much air at low speed). There was a mild smell to it from the glue on the filters, but after a few hours (maybe a day), this all cleared up (I’ve heard some with major complaints of glue/chemical smells on the AP-1512 replacement filters, so I wasn’t overly surprised). I noticed that after running for an hour or so, the color changing light for auto mode was off and the unit said it was in Mode 1 instead of Auto. I thought something was up, so I cycled through the different Modes (fan speeds) and back to Auto. It stayed there for a while and went back to Mode 1. I thought maybe I had a bad unit, so I read the manual to make sure I understood its operation. That’s when I found out that the manual sucks and does not have near enough information about how this unit works and I now see why there are certain questions about this unit on the Amazon product page (like which was the filters are as the label FRONT on the HEPA filter actually points to the inside of the unit, which would technically be towards the back wouldn’t it?). It turns out that the Auto mode sometimes kicks out and into a more power saving mode, and when it does this, it erroneously shows as Mode 1 (and note that when it does this, it is flowing less air and even quieter than when showing as Auto Mode with a Blue status / air quality light). When the air quality is sensed to be bad enough, it pops out of the Mode 1 and into Auto Mode, so I guess this is all normal. As many have mentioned, this unit is pretty darn quiet, except when going into high gear. At the mid-level (Mode 2 or Green air quality light), it is a bit louder, but not too bad. Mode 3 (Yellow air quality light) is much louder, but about what I expected as the AP-1512 isn’t exactly quiet when it thinks it needs to evacuate the room of all dirty air right this instant. After living with one of the Coway 150 for a couple of weeks, I ordered a second unit to go in another room (13’ x 13’ bedroom) and next to a cat litter box (to help with dust control and general air quality in the room). I noticed that it’s Auto Mode and lights worked the same as the first unit (confirming that I didn’t just get a bad unit). I also noticed that the fan motor was a bit noisier, so I was wondering about quality control of the parts used to make these units. After a few weeks though, the fan motor quieted down and is about as silent as the first unit I procured. These two units are working well and I would certainly think of getting another if needed or recommending one for another person; however, I would not recommend the 150 for anything other than a small room (like an office or regular bedroom). If you have a larger bedroom, living room, etc., then I would look at the 200M, 300 or 400 to cover the larger space as the 150 just won’t cut it.

A keeper!
I want one of these in every room! I turn it on when I’m cooking and it quickly removes all the smell even bacon smoke! Quickly gets rid of cooking odors and has made a big difference in the pollen on the inside of my house. Super quiet on 1 and 2. 3 is a little noisy but still not too much! It’s easy to clean and is super nice quality.

Coway is quality
I LOVE coway air purifiers! we have many animals and I wanted to have two of these devices in my home. I bought this one second to a different Coway air purifier that I had. I’m actually glad I waited to get a second one because this one is so much quieter and much cuter. Overall, a great purchase and we breathe easier. Make sure to do your research on air purifiers because you wanna get ones that have filters etc that are easy to replace and accessible to buy…The “inside parts” that you have to replace on cheaper machines are sometimes not easy to find. In the end, cheaper air purifiers will cost you more… a less than I learned the hardway. That’s why we went with Coway too overall and have been pleased. I just buy the replacement filters and replace every six months. The pre-filter I just clean off as needed. Overall, it is easy to use and is very durable.

Great-looking, minimalist air purifier
I previously had a nice-looking, "smart" Mila air purifier. It was fine as an air purifier, but it was very expensive, and the "smart" features kept disconnecting. So, when it finally stopped working, I decided to replace it with an air purifier that's relatively simple. However, I wanted something that still matched the aesthetic of my apartment. This Coway 150 seemed to fit! Love the look of it, and it does a pretty job purifying, as well. Cooking? The purifier starts running. Open the hallway door? The purifier starts running. I feel better about the air quality in my apartment while also being happy about how it looks.

Not enough to dethrone Coway Mighty, one major flaw
Given the retail price and the smaller form factor, I figured I'd give the Coway Airmega 150 a shot. I use the Mighty (AP-1512HH) as my purifier for my bedroom, but the high power and ability to move air seemed overkill given the small 12x12 space. After receiving the Airmega 150, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and attention to detail. The aesthetic and design is perfect, however the footprint was not as small as I had hoped, even though I read the measurements. Essentially its about the same as the Mighty, but 3" less in depth. That means it will sit more flush to a wall, but likely not enough to save space. Regardless, I was happy to have something with less airflow, better suited for my bedroom. This is where I was a bit underwhelmed. When on setting 1, the fan is whisper quiet, but at 2 and 3 you can definitely hear the fan motor. While its still within the dB threshold as stated by Coway and definitely quiet, its way more noticeable than the Mighty which just sounds like air moving. This is likely due to a smaller motor working harder to power the fan, which leads to a louder overall sound. The deal breaker for me was how the purifier was designed. The front panel of the purifier separates to expose the charcoal and HEPA filter, which securely fit into place, HOWEVER, there is a seam on the edge of the purifier that is in the direct path of the fan, so air can get sucked into the sides of the purifier, escaping the filtration features altogether (see picture). While I'm sure a majority of the air will go through the face of the fan, I feel like this is a big oversight and is not ideal that non-filtered air is able to pull through the purifier. I think the design intent is that the edges of the HEPA are compressed on the front panel, however the seal is not good because a thin piece of paper held to the side of the unit sucks to the surface, indicating the fan is definitely pulling in air on the sides and directly into the unit. While I don't think this is a fatal flaw, it was enough to not make me replace the Mighty, and give my mom the Airmega 150 for her room. PROS: -Smaller footprint, but not tiny -Touch controls are perfect, light indicator is great -Ability to turn off light indicator -Quiet, but some discernable motor noise CONS: -No available filters right now (I'm sure this will change) -Sides of the purifier allow air in, unfiltered. This was overlooked and is a big flaw to me -Airflow is not as good as the mighty, but good enough for a bedroom

Silencioso, filtros grandes,eficaz.

Very disappointed. Incorrect plug and voltage, had to return.

Must have for pet owners
Love this air purifier - I have it in the laundry room by the cat litter bin, it is great at detecting slight changes in the air quality. (Such as when the cat uses the litter bin, or I clean it!) It's also very quiet when the fan is on auto mode. I am really glad I purchased this, it is a peace of mind knowing that my air is cleaner and does not smell like cat.

Peace of mind
Omg this thing works. I bought it because someone in our building was smoking and it was driving me nuts. Since we got it I haven’t smelled it. We’re also getting a new roof out in and I’m moving it around whenever I smell the gross tar and it cleans up the room in no time. The light indicator is really cool too. So worth it.

Incorrect Voltage for EU Market and Invalid Return Label
This product should not be sold in Europe (Amazon ES) because it only supports 110V. This is critical information and should have been clearly stated in the product description and instructions. Additionally, the seller has repeatedly provided an incorrect return label that only works for returns within the USA. As a result, I have been unable to return the item, which costs over 300 euros and is very heavy. I am requesting immediate assistance to resolve this issue, including providing a valid EU return label or a full refund.
