Good beginnings
There is so much valuable information that the average person would never know or find out from their "general practitioner" (Dr.). Doctors are in the business, yes it is a big business, to give you prescription drugs for anything and everything whether you really can benefit or not. It is far more safe and clearly obvious that we can find most cures for what ails us from "mother nature". It has been provided and all we need to do is read more and not believe what Big Pharma is selling. Trust me, it's all about the $$$. It's never about curing a sickness. So on this note, I firmly believe that the information provided in this book is a great foundation and beginning for learning more about what is readily available to us from nature and to continue researching. I have been using the oil for lots of everyday uses and replacing it with anything made with "vegetable/soybean" oils as in hydrogenated =bad. Give it a try and always remember to "walk slowly to the Dr's office" they, just like your car dealer/repairman will ALWAYS find something wrong and prescribe some chemical that will cause something else through a "side effect".

slowed down my racing heart
i tried coconut oil for a month and noticed that my chest pains, racing heart and random elevations in temperature stopped i have far fewer migraines, skin problems are lessened when i use it topically, and the best part is that i have more energy right away i noticed i could wake up with less problems and stay out of bed longer/needing less naps i still deal with a lot of health issues but there was a noticeable change right away as for the book... lots of interesting data in a way that is easy to understand some is repetitive but not overly annoying and there are areas where he explains details in a way that anyone can learn or understand... i have had way too many doctors get a high from using medical jargon to make me feel small and stupid... but fife helps build you up and teach you whether the data is true or not, i am no scientist and i cannot "prove" any of it but his arguments are logical and since i have no allergy to coconut (a rare thing but some are)... i saw no problem testing on myself and so far so good

The truth comes out about coconut oil and its benefits. This is a must read for all. You will be surprised at the findings. We've been lied to about coconut oil for years. Eat up - it's good for you!

A calorie is NOT a calorie...
If he hadn't gone off on the "a calorie is a calorie" tangent, I would be giving this book 5-stars... I am getting ready to read the Coco-Keto-Diet book Dr. Fife has written... let's see if he has changed his tune since then.

A Seminal Book everyone should read
This book will change lives if taken to heart. Coconut oil is so important to diet and health, it should be promoted by all responsible media outlets. Since reading this book and implementing the use of coconut oil, I have already noticed huge improvements in my health and the many uses on the skin. Coconut oil is truly a super food and allows the consumption of fried foods without the huge downside that fried foods come with. It's so good that all the major big box stores are selling coconut oil in large containers at a very reasonable price. Do yourself a favor and order this book. It will change the way you eat and your health will so drastically improve you will be amazed. Bruce Fife should get an humanitarian award for this book. He has unmasked the very industries that make foods so detrimental to our health and promote it as good for you. The drug companies know the tremendous effects of coconut oil on the body but dismiss it because they can't profit from it, so coconut oil has been left in the dark until now. I have discarded ALL OILS in my pantry except coconut oil, olive oil, and butter. Yes butter, you will find out about butter and be shocked at the lies the margarine companies have spread (no pun intended). Now my deep fat fryer is filled with coconut oil and I can eat chicken wings and be healthy at the same time. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

Simply Amazing Coconut
A real wake up book. Excellent information. I use coconut everyday and found this book so awakening and so interesting. Recommend it most absolutely. You need to have this information, so natural, so easy, so good for you, and the science, an eye opener. Hey and so cheap.

Truth Triumphs Above Evil.
Bought the book, read cover to cover, and now it is doing the rounds among the physicians I know. A well written book for the 'Naysayers'. Exposes the truth about the goodness coconut oil, the oils and nut of life. Lots of scientific evidence. Lots of exposure to corruption by millionaires who have a hidden agenda to promote alternate products to line their pockets. I was born in Sri Lanka. Neuro-degenerative diseases are rare. From birth to death, we swim in it. This is a genuine book by the author.

Superb taste, best to cook with and perfect body oil!
Coconut oil tastes great with my morning breakfast and improves health noticeably. I use it to cook Thai and Indian food. I also find it resolves flakey spots on my face when used twice a day. The book has some great tips on how coconut oil helps you.
