Cracks me up. Haven't even received it yet and I'm going to give it 5 stars. Why? Well, I promise to provide an update after I actually get it and use it, but I'm an absolute Snow Peak fan and I'm excited to get a notification that this is finally in stock and ready to ship. Made in Japan = quality in the 21st Century, and I could outfit a small cafe with the titanium goods I own. I even take a 200 ml and a 500 ml (with lid) titanium cup with me on my too-frequent business travel. Flat won't use hotel glassware. The small one is for water or wine, and I use the 500 for my coffee instead of their paper cups. I have an Airstream, and the glassware, as well as my pots and pans, are all Snow Peak titanium. Weighs nothing, won't break, durable and functional. Just can't beat it. You'd think they'd give me a volume discount....

Low quality construction
The idea of these mugs is great. So cool... so not durable. So not good at keeping things warm. So expensive. Today, I pulled my year old mug from the dishwasher and the cap had fallen off the bottom. These mugs live in my house, car or office. Pretty pathetic how they’ve broken down. Yeti mugs that I don’t even like, have been great and a fraction of the cost.

Incredible Quality, Super Light, All Day Cold or Hot
Incredible quality and design. Keeps drinks hot or cold for a day. Three caps: one for cold, hot, and sipping. Absolutely spectacular manufacturing in double-walled titanium. THE lightest insulated bottle I have ever found. 100% made in Japan like a true samurai sword.

Super and super high quality...
I bought one of these for 20% off, these seasonal holiday coupons are in many places at outfitters... loved it so much bought a second. These are not perfect, but titanium and double wall that can store cold can all day (if prechill in freezer) or drink coffee all morning (again preheat) is perfect. Numb from eegits saying stainless is comparable... steel is NOT titanium it is a false equivalence I can 'taste' stainless steel in my drinks because it has metal smell.

Impressively lightweight and holds temperature very well. The only drawbacks I’ve noticed so far are that the lids can be a little hard to get on/off and it leaks a notable amount of temperature at the neck where the lid threads on. It’s probably only worth it over the stainless version if you’re *extremely* focused on shaving grams.

Nice bottle, but the sipping lid doesn't seal
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: 11/81/2018I put it in my day pack. Somehow the bottom got dented and now it wobbles like crazy.I contacted Snow Peak. They said there's no way to fix it and I'm screwed. My $150 mug is busted. I didn't even use it that much. After seeing the poor durability of this expensive item, I have to downgrade my rating to 3 stars.I included a picture and a video so you can see what I'm talking about.-----------It looks great and the titanium is light and elegant. The sipping lid, however, does not seal when it is closed. The closure seems to be designed to prevent splashing only, e.g. due to driving on a bumpy street. When tipped over, liquid leaks out everywhere as if there were no top on it at all.You can, of course, use the heat lid with no opening that seals perfectly, then change the lid when drinking. This design, however, is inferior to the integrated lid on the Zojirushi SM-KHE48XA Stainless Steel Mug, 16-Ounce that both seals perfectly and allows sipping. Two lids takes up more space and you have to keep track of the lid that's not being used. Also, you can't take a sip and throw it back in your pack. If you have the sipping lid on, you have to be careful not to knock it over. Considering the Zojirushi is much cheaper, this design issue is unfortunate. I hope Snow Peak comes out with an improved lid.I got this as a gift and it's a nice luxury item. I'm very happy with it other than the lid.
