This is a keeper. Runs true and no wobble. It’s exactly what I have been looking for. The chuck key fits tight and grips the mandrill for a tight fit on the drill. I gave up on the 1/4” hex drill bits because there low quality and are always stripping out of the hex holder. Happy camper now. Buying another one right now !

Pretty good product, easy to use & set up. I'm on my 2nd piece though. The impact driver part ended up twisting and breaking. I don't know if material I was drilling through was harder than normal or because kept catching on hole. But does work good.

This works perfectly in my drill press. My existing chuck would not hold a 3/16 drill bit. This slips right into the existing chuck and works great, will accommodate everything down to 1/16. Quick and easy workaround. Good quality!

I'm writing this review 3 years after purchasing. Originally I bought this to replace my last one; which only lasted a few months until it locked up. It was some other brand off Amazon. This one immediately out of the box looked like it was much more quality, and it is. The steel is hardened, and has stood up to quite a bit of abuse. I bought this to make my impact driver into a danger drill so it had its fair share of not so gentle rotations. I also haven't lubricated it single time, dropped it in concrete, exposed to moisture multiple times, lost the chuck, and it still functions like to did when new. If you're on the fence over a few bucks and the overwhelming selection of chucks on Amazon, this one will buy you at least 3 years of moderately abusive drilling and hold up to the rigors of being mounted in an impact driver. I've managed to jam it a few times, but a pipe wrench and a vice grips always solves it. That was what caused the premature failure of the other one I had before this, locked up and never unlocked. This is decent piece of metal for about 15 bucks. Hope this helps

I do not recommend using it on drivers without adjustable power settings, because the bit will get lodged into material due to a flaw with its jaws during reverse rotations. The chuck locks fine for driving bits into things but not while backing bits out of the them—they get lodged. It’s not worth what it costs in my opinion, but it’s handy here and there.

After using this particular bit for over a year now, breaking one, getting a replacement, breaking it, continuing to use them in spite of that, losing one chuck and having only 1 spare -- the original one I broke. I have to say, this is a pretty impressive and relatively cheap accessory to any impact. I've personally used it to attach drill bits of all sizes to my drill, the lock works flawlessly, I still keep the key for some extra tighten in some situations. When I say it broke, I mean it broke in a way it's still usable. It's constructed in 3 parts, the shaft, the chuck and a screw in between them holding them together. Now the shaft and the chuck themselves, have the same groove and screw into each other, so though mine broke, with the same grooves and screw size, it's an easy fix. But it's worked without that fix very well for tons of holes, hours, jobs, etc. I will say, above all the fancy no-teeth keyless chucks, like DeWalt, Makita and Milwaukee. I always want this. I prefer the grooves so I can assure myself I can get anything in there unlocked and locked in with a key. I've had a few buddies with other brand chucks lock up on them. I'd say it's a good alternative to the 40$ "delux" models. In fact, I intend to buy a new one to break again. I've learned you need two of everything -- cause nobody else is going to be as prepared. Update: Over 2 years using my first one I bought, lost the other one. It still works like a champ, without a problem. Broken.
