My Injured Knee Loves This Mueller Brace
Very nice, obviously well designed and quality brace. I was not sure of the best size so ordered this model Mueller Green knee brace as it has an adjustment setting for S/M or L/XL. Pain is gone and knee is much better due to this brace. Easy to put on and remove, plus very comfortable, even wearing it all day. I also have a Mueller model 255 back brace I ordered from Amazon. it is also an excellent brace! My apologies to Amazon. Hurt my knee Thursday and ordered the brace late at night. On a strong pain pill and brain was a little fuzzy. Amazon indicated I would get the brace the next day with Prime. I thought that meant Friday and i figured that would be very fast. The next morning i realized I had placed the order after midnight and the next day would be Saturday. Oh no. So I headed down to the store to get an ace bandage to hold me over. The store had the same exact brace. i bought it and asked Amazon to cancel my order. Unfortunately it was too late. Amazon said to return the order or refuse the delivery. I luckily was there when the brace was delivered. I refused the order and the driver returned it to Amazon. I just received notice of the full credit from Amazon. THANKS AMAZON! This is one of the many reasons I am a regular and very happy Amazon customer. Their customer service is simply the best.

Stayed put and helped stabilize my knee
This is a very comfortable knee brace I own quite a few, it did support my knee and helped it be more stable. It did fit my larger thigh, and it did not slide on my leg.

Staple
This is a great improvement over the previous MUELLER braces I purchased the main fabric doesn't stretch like the previous ones and doesn't ball up so the Velcro won't adhere.

5-STARS, EXCEPT HOOK & LOOP CLOSURES
✅ My initial impressions of this MUELLER knee brace were very favorable. It’s well-made, using quality materials. And the metal hinges on the sides puts the support right where it’s needed, without being too rigid or restrictive. Overall, it’s a comfortable fit with good support. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning it for a refund. My official reason is “too big”. However, according to the sizing guidance provided in the listing, it should fit just fine. Given that my “above the knee” circumference of 18-inches is well within the sizing reference range of 13” - 21”. So what’s the problem? ❗️Well, when I pull the lower strap to get a snug “below the knee” fit, which is crucial to prevent slipping, the hook & loop tabs don’t line-up very well. In fact, they only overlap by a scant 1-inch (see pics). That might be OK with a new brace, but NOT once the brace gets broken-in. For at least three reason… ➜ First, it’s been my experience that as knee braces age, I need to pull on the straps more so than when new, to compensate for fabric stretch. This is especially true for the lower “below the knee” strap, because of its role minimizing vertical slippage. ➜ Second, hook & loop closures are notorious for loosing their “peel strength” with age, due to clogging and fabric fatigue. ➜ Third, considering the “one size fits most” design, this brace will need to accommodate a wide range of leg dimensions. And that means varying degrees of strap stretching (to ensure a snug fit), all the while keeping the hook & loop tabs lined-up. This balancing act becomes a challenge if the hook & loop domains have a limited width. As these do. In my opinion, MUELLER should have made the “hook” tab wider than 2-inches, especially on the lower strap. And/or included a “below the knee” measurement to aid sizing. After all, it’s the lower “below the knee” strap that keeps the brace from slipping, and is therefore the one that tends to get stretched the most (to ensure a snug/secure fit). In my case, the “below the knee” circumference measurement is 15” (taken 3” below the knee), and that’s right on the border of being acceptable (IMO). Measurements that are UNDER 15” may struggle finding a balance between a snug fit (where the brace doesn’t slip) vs a secure fit (where the velcro closures don’t pop open during use). Something to keep in mind re sizing. 👍 RECOMMENDATION 👍 Regarding my 4-star rating, I think it's appropriate, even though I'll be returning mine. The fact is, I like the design, the support, and the build quality. Just because the brace didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't for someone else. This is often the case with products that are worn, where sizing guidance isn't always accurate. So while I'm happy to recommend, just be mindful of the "one size fits most" sizing. And if you do order, pay close attention to the hook & loop overlap. If it's at least 75% with the straps stretched, especially the lower strap, you should be good to go. I hope my comments are helpful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not the brace for knee pain
I have several of the Mueller HG80 braces and I love them. I have a partially torn ACL and some meniscus missing and it’s the only brace that allows me to play basketball. I tried this brace because I wanted to be able to adjust the tightness. However, after using it just once to play basketball it made my knee hurt more than before I played. 4 days after I played with it my knee is still throbbing.. I will never use it again

Good brace, but Velcro is a problem!
I answered a question about how this brace would work while jogging. Here's what I wrote. Since answering the question Mueller has advised they will be sending me a new brace. Kudo's to Mueller for standing behind their warranty! "I haven’t tried it jogging. I would be hesitant though. I gives wonderful support and the hinges are absolutely awesome, but I’m struggling with the Velcro. It comes loose so easily. I’m working with Mueller now on the warranty, but I suspect I received a second product from Amazon. Mueller wanted me to send a pic of the Velcro and the tag sewn into the brace. Well Well Well, no tag! You can kind of tell it was there once upon a time. I hope this helps. When Mueller decides how they are going to handle this, I will give a review on Amazon. Oh shoot, I may go ahead and post this review. Good luck if you do purchase one." see less

Helped Recover From a Sports Related Injury
Our oldest son (18) is a hardcore soccer player and has hyper-extended his knees more times than we can remember. In a recent game, it was worse than usual and lead to him visiting his team's physical therapist. After some tests and evaluations, they determined he'd be good with some time off and some stabilization to let the knee heal. The therapist recommended this specific brace and it definitely did the job. From a fit perspective, it was adjustable enough to handle the larger leg muscles that come as part of the family genetic package (which is more than can be said for most knee braces) and my son still found it to be relatively comfortable (no knee brace worth its salt will be completely comfortable, that's kind of the point). Stabilization-wise, it was helpful and he found himself properly supported while walking up and down the stairs to and from him room and able to walk easily enough (again, it's a brace, you aren't supposed to run a marathon in it or anything). His knee healed in a reasonable amount of time thanks in part to the brace along with consistent therapy. From a consumer perspective, I always like to see quality-made items from recycled materials and the price was reasonable. All-in-all, this was a solid investment and we would recommend this brace.

Superb bit of kit
This knee brace was recommended by the consultant who did surgery on my knee. It's not cheap but it's brilliant, providing excellent support and stability to my knee and fits like a glove. A combination of neoprene and metal make this brace standout and provide the sort of support other braces simply can't match. I can't speak highly enough about it.
