The Encaustic Art Project Book Paperback – December 15, 2015

Awesome Book. Will use this one over and over again. Followed the tutorials, and my 2nd practice piece turned out well enough that I felt comfortable posting my creation on-line to one of my groups. Michael Bossom is a very talented encaustic artist, whose style is very user friendly. I highly recommend this book to artists who are eager to venture into the world of encaustic art. Recommend this one to all my friends, some of whom have also purchased this book. All have emailed me with positive feedback, and are just as happy with it as I am.

As a newcomer to encaustic, I especially like all the tips and techniques and projects presented in this book. I am excited about continuing with this medium.

This book isn't encaustic art by layering media for depth. It's wax smeared on paper.

It's okay..

This book is absolutely essential for anyone who wants to experiment with encaustic art. Descriptions are very clear, and the colour pictures are of excellent quality. I would highly reccoment this book for all enthusiasts of this art form.

Excellent book to expand your ability of working with hot wax

Given it 5 stars as I feel it is a really excellent book. It describes different techniques each with several photos and how to descriptions plus a larger picture each time of worked examples. Yes it comes highly recommended especially for newbies like me.

Bought for my wife who is fairly new to rncaustic art but not eatercolours. She describes the book both as ivery nformative and inspiring. Judging by the amount of really good material she has produced, I think it must be.

As described,but not the sort of encaustic art I was expecting, this one is for encaustic with iron or special tool I was wanting techniques for applying layers of wax with pigment, however this is useful also.
