My mother gave it to me, however I have been using the recipes from it for over 40 years. The history that's in this book is interesting, and the food is really tasty! My favorite, as is my families, is the barbequed ribs, which I have been making since 1973. A wonderful addition for any cook! Down home cooking!
I have had this cookbook for over 35 years. My mother gave it to me, however I have been using the recipes from it for over 40 years. I'm a fan of the Time-Life Foods of the World series. Great writing, wonderful photography. American Cooking: Southern Style provides an excellent overview to the entire regional cuisine.

Great stories with geat recipes.
I like this cook book because me and my family is featured in one of the stories. My Mom was a great cook and you will.see that in this book. Great southern recipes.
